More importantly, why haven't Toad or Bowser been given their own games yet, with all those other spin-off series?

Toad was in Wario's Woods, but kinda faded once he became generic.
Bowser, on the other hand, just flat out needs a game. He's playable in Super Paper Mario, and that was fantastic. I never really saw him as a villain so much as a bumbling bad guy. I personally always wanted him to have this weird "every genre in one" type game, kinda like Conker's Bad Fur Day. It could lend itself to some fantastic gameplay (and humor)

That sounds like a good idea. I kinda figured it would be along the lines of a parody of every popular game, including Platformers, Adventures, Shooters, JRPGs, Fighters and even Driving games. Much of the action should consist of smashing stuff. That's what Bowser does best.

It seems that part started because Master Luigi is upset that Bowser and Wario are in as Power characters over DK. I'd watch him, or he'll end up like this! |

My main gripe with the DKU is simply that they are so offensive for no good reason. Reading that thread above, you can tell most of them are joking... but the tone used is blind, murderous rage! I mean... don't they realise they are on the forum for a website about a Nintendo game! Oh sorry... RARE game? I mean, there's no need for it. Swearing has its place, and so does offensive humour... and it's not on a Donkey Kong fansite. You'd think they were a GTA forum or something  |

Just thought i'd tell you guys that according to the Mario Wiki, Rouge the bat WILL be in the game, but maybe not as a playable character.

You do realise that anybody can write on a Wiki, right? And these fan Wikis are even less reliable than Wikipedia. Is their claim sourced by a news article, interview or screenshot anywhere? If not, then don't believe it.

All it says is that it is from a recent Sega magizine, but unless i'm mistaken, Sega dosn't have a magizine! So your probably right. I am quite gullible and I didn't bother seeing if it was true.
And it says Rouge MIGHT be in. Silver is the one that it says will get in but maybe not as a character. Of course, thats probably wrong.

I'm guessing Rouge is in in the same way Espio, Cream and Charmy are... as a background judge. If she's playable, she's likely to be a secret all around character.
If there are secret characters (which seems somewhat likely), I'm guessing there'll be two secret Mario characters and two secret Sonic characters, one for each class. Perhaps Rouge for all around, Petey Piranha for power, uhh... Il Piantissimo (it could happen!) for speed, and Silver for skill.
