Have you tried camping out in front a store early in the morning just to get a Wii yet? And when I mean early I mean like midnight early. I had to wait a year to get a DS or SP as well, for similar reasons. Damn, that's pretty long, where I live no one likes Nintendo so it's easy to get a system. Wii or DS. (Sucks the Wii is region locked though, but I could have easily got you a DS*). *You would have to pay for it though.

Well, a little persistence paid off. I was following a forum that announced areas and dates for Wiis and they mentioned the East Coast on Wednesday. I called Gamestop the next day about midday and they had quite a handful. I rushed my friend a bunch of texts and he ran over and bought it (I had to be in a marathon 4 hour class). When I got home, there she was!
I went out yesterday morning to get a Classic Controller and some Wii Points and bought myself StarTropics, ALttP, and for some reason Dragon's Curse (I really should've spared that one, but meh. It was all off a gift card anyways). So now my Wii is fully decked out. I even left it in the common room and came back to find the guys still playing it after so many hours (there's already another Wii in there, which is what makes this crazy). Some of my Miis are pretty ridiculous, I've got Galaxy from last year, I have my Brawl reserved, and now all I need is more Wiimotes. Yep... it all worked wonderfully.
Now I just owe my buddy $270 XD
