Hey, are you guys going to sell Super Paper Mario after you finish it? I don't think I will.

I might. I doubt I'll play it again. Will try and get screenshots before I offload it though.

Sad to hear. I had some high hopes for this, but maybe I'll wait on it til it gets cheaper...or just hold off on it. *sigh*

As I said before...ITS NOT A BAD GAME... just the worst Mario RPG to date, but keeping in mind the excellence of the series, its not all that bad, it just needed more refinement (and Fry please don´t compare SPM to the ARTOON games now those were hideous)

No, it really is an RPG... It just thinks it's a platformer.
If it was hyped as a platform-RPG rather than a back-to-roots platformer, I think a lot of the bad stuff in the game would be more accepted. It's still less tedious than the average FF game, after all.

The plot was in my opinion one of Mario's best and it was what kept me going, honestly. The gameplay itself is not worth touching the case for. But the characters, music, and designs all got my interest and still do.
But they better not screw around like this again.

No, it really is an RPG... It just thinks it's a platformer. In see it the other way. It's a platfomer, but it thinks it's an RPG. They did a pretty good job, but it starts dropping off towards the end. In the first 3 worlds, the game held very true to Mario platformer. The first few levels were designed with platforming in mind. Some even took music from older Mario games. But once you get to World 4, it's more about puzzles then Platforming. The level design becomes themed rather then feeling luke a different world. It was poorly designed in keeping it a platform, at it shows they ran out of ideas at that point.

It would have been if it had a multiplayer mode, one controls Mario the other controls Bowser etc.

Wow! So much hate.
I thought the game was brilliant. Not perfect, but it had a lot of excellent touches to it. The 3D Flip wasn't bad, but it should have been an ability for the entire group.
Personally I used Bowser the most. You put him on top of Carrie and the game is awesome.

OK, if I'm honest, I was only up to the end of world 6 when I wrote that scathing report, but nothing in the final couple chapters made me change my mind.
The Underwhere was a good section (and idea) at first, but then it became a to-and-fro fest with little point to it, and the climbing to Overwhere? With the witches? What the hell was that about? And then it finished with such Final Fantasy-esque ridiculousness that I felt chunks at the back of my throat.
The final world was just a "how many enemies can YOU survive" fest. Long and tedious, no real challenge to it.
