For medium characters (so Luigi for me)... I'd use the Blooper kart and dolphin kart prolly. For Koopa and Diddy... both Blue Falcon and Mach Rider bike, of course. Rosalina I'll probably use her normal bike or something.

Actually, I think Petey was cut because you just can't see the road through his head. It's like Ridley. Petey is just too unwieldy to be in Mario Kart. Beyond that, who isn't in the game who hasn't been in a Mario Kart before besides Donkey Kong Jr, Paratroopa, Shyguy, and R.O.B. DK Jr only appears in the first game and R.O.B. was probably cut because he couldn't ride bikes, leaving Paratroopa and Shyguy, who would be better served as being filler characters for the next game. In addition, we get a smattering of characters from nearly every Mario game. I can definately see Dixie Kong, King K. Rool, Mona, and Dr. Mario being likely candidates for the next Kart.

That is awesome! Wonder why its a small kart, tho? EDIT: I didn't see the above post when I posted this. Awesome. That WINS.
I'm so going to use it all the time. Me and my buddy Dry Bones are gonna F-Zero it up, baby! ;D

Well Tei, I'll challenge you with my Koopa in Blue Falcon. Or Mach Bike.

I have also been shown that the Monster from 3D Hot Rally is an unlockable car. I can guarantee this game will be on my shelf by the end of tomorrow ;D

After spending the whole afternoon playing it, I must say that anyone who thinks that game is a rush job must be out of his/her mind.
Also, does anyone have the game already too? I'd like to play some online with you.

I picked up the game today. I do have several negative comments to make, but mainly regarding the steering wheel accesspry. Currently, I have a Gamecube controller plugged in, because it's so much easier to control.
Also, the new stages are largely uninspired. I like the mall stage, but Double Dash had a lot more originality than this.
Also, they didn't fix the problem with over-use of items that plagued DD. I still get hit by too many Blue Shells on a final lap, and that's 50cc!!

As for some as uninspired, I think it depends on the stage (true for some, not for others). It may also be that, with tricks, stages rely less on the crazy gimmicks and more on the structure of the course (The snowboarding stage is an example).

Too bad my Wii's ejecter thingy broke and refuses to spit out Brawl. Reads the disc fine, but it won't get it out for me to jam Mario Kart into it. So I need to get it fixed somewhere, which'll take me another week or two. Ohwell.
I played it at a friend though, hella rad. While we both have input delay problems when playing Brawl online, Mario Kart Wii plays flawlessly. The ability to have 2 players on 1 wii versus strangers is a big plus too. Wasn't able to try the steering wheel, but still plays fine with the Gamecube controller. Though for some reason you now use items with the L button.
Also Funky Kong is the best character and I hope he stays forever.

I'm still amazed Funky's in. Such a great way to show Paon's left a mark by bringing the supporting Kongs back in their games. Otherwise I doubt Funky'd be in the game.
Every Mario Kart will have a few flaws, but in general it's fun racing, I hope. (except Double Dash, for me, which is a nightmare) Oh, and how are the Nintendo racing karts? Blue Falcon, Mach Bike, Rally Rider/Monster?

There have been worse problems in this world than having Brawl permanently jammed in your Wii Hell, with the current quality of games for the system, I'm hoping it DOES get jammed in there!
