Famicom Wars Japanese Commercial (b4 Advance Wars)

Most of you Advance Wars players might not know about a Japanese commercial of a war strategy game way back in 1988, and this one is for Famicom Wars. I was able to download that commercial on WinMX from a Japanese user last year, and now take a look at the pictures of what the actual commercial looks like.

The commercial starts when it looks like the US Army and its bootcamp with some black guy shouts to the soldiers as they repeat what he says, actually in Japanese lanuage. Then you see the soldiers in some exercise with the real guns before battle, and the third picture continues where it left off before the actual Famicom Wars logo appears from the ground. In the end the poor soldier is getting tired of being bossed around like in the first picture, and that black guy gets in the soldier's face!
I may try to send the actual Famicom Wars commercial to you, but that file is around 11MB.

Alternatively, I can send everyone the links tonight for a huge archive of Famicom and Disk System ads. Some of them are pretty cool... especially the animated Zelda and Nazo no Murasamejou ones!

I always thought the artwork in the manual looked like it was from a cartoon of some kind.

The best Nintendo commercials are:

-Super Smash Bros. (N64)- where Mario, Yoshi, Pikachu and Donkey Kong are cavorting in the field, and they begin to fight as soon as one of them falls.
-Mario Kart Advance- Where Mario, Donkey Kong, and Toad are racing against a mini-van.
and my favorite:
-The commercial for the different varieties of N64's- Where several vikingish-warriors of each color fight, and they are then shown in bikinis.

I remember the first two, they were great. Also, anyone remember the Wario Land 4 commercial? "Tis the season to be greedy!" lol

The Platinum GBA ads were my favourite, along with the SSB one mentioned.

But while we are on the topic of Nintendo ads, who remembers the controversy (well, not really) around the Super Mario Sunshine ads? "Clean is better than dirty, and dirty's meaner than clean"

Yeah, I know that commercial... Definately one of my favourites ;D

I've heard the soundtrack to that horrendous Mario Sunshine ad (America only, thank crap)... I so hope when Reggie was hired he did a death-grip on whoever thought that was a good idea.

I also happen to have a Japanese commercial of Super Mario Bros. 2 + Legend of Zelda of the actual Famicom Disk System games shown in one file, if you can trust me. Does anyone also want to look at other Nintendo Japanese commercials that I have that advertised other third party games? Gradius and Final Fantasy VI are two out of some of the Japanese commercials I have, do you still trust me about it if anyone cares or should I just post pictures from it?

Also, remember the Paper Mario commercial? Where Paper Bowser captures Paper Peach and rides away on a boat, and Paper Mario tries to dive into the water after her, only to sog like paper?
