Hi i'm a full time NES collector and i was wondering if you have a guide that contains everything ever made for the nes such as the top loading console the games by tengen and camarica and the different color variations of games. such as zelda having a gold cart and a grey cart. test cartridges and the things like the robot that came with the systme back in 85 with gyromite.
and maybe things dealing with nintendo power with bonuses and extra thing givin to people who had a subscription
i have acopy of the nes rarity guide but i have found that is missing certain games
i have as of today 217 nes games like the dragon warrioir series almost all complete i have 1 unopened game 52 boxes 79 manuals 9 systems 7 working 2 for parts. 15 contolars 1 joystick 2 multiplayer connectors with box and manuals 4 game genies 2 unopened . nintendo power issues 11-151 in gret to excelent condition i have many maps for several games on the nes and its growing almost on a weekly bases.. i also have 2 snes consols 23 games most with boxes and manuals. including games like ffIII and simcity. 1 N64 2 controlors and 17 games almost all with boxes and manuals and 1 unopened . and now i havea gamecube with 4 games .
also a few gameboy games from way back in the day for my snes .
so i'm looking for a guide that will let me know what i'm missing what is near impossible to get and what i will never lay eyes on. oh and this has all been done with out the help of ebay
i would post pictures but i'm not sure own how to do that. thanks oh and i'm impressed with the site

I'm afraid I only have lists of Nintendo's own games. None of the other stuff. And as I'm in the UK, I don't have access to any information about Nintendo Power... instead stuck with NOM UK.
But I do have nearly complete first-party-published GC/N64 collections, a Mario animation cel, a mint boxed NES Zapper, loadsa NES, SNES, GB games... and a virtual boy. And I've given up smoking now, and with the hefty savings I intend to stay up to date with DS software.
But I'm afraid as a collector I draw the line at first-party titles. Not much beyond that (well... maybe a couple)

Do a search on the web for Digital Press. They make an excellent guide for collectors.
Collecting Nintendo stuff is a really crazy business. There are just so many crazy things to get!!

If you go to www.nintendo.com/ they have under "Games" complete licensed lists for GB, GBC, N64, NES, SNES, and Virtual Boy! They have the name, publisher, and release date. I suggest you check it out.

I didn't know you were in the uK well i sis some searching and i found a good site with current games lists for nes and a large assortment of the accssesories.
as for me i will just keep doing my reaserch and as a i go aolong and see something different i will record it . i'm gonna try and make a complete NES list of everything not just the games.
but for me i'm just mainly trying to collect nes stuff in general nothing specifically just everything i can find or get my hands on.
as for other systems i'm just collecting things i want like certain games. i would love to get my hands on 4-5 brand new N64 contollers cause they were out . but other then that i kinda lost touch with the new console stuff. and good luck with the no smokeing it hasn't worked for me yet.

Thanks... the no smoking is still going strong (but it don't half make you chemically unbalanced, I've been farting like nobody's business!) ;D Perhaps you should try my method of giving up. Forget all that fancy pants stuff about nicotine patches and yoga and stuff... you need a dose of Capitalist Nicotine Replacement Therapy! Basically, like under capitalism, you have to create competition for funding, only this competition is between different bits of your brain. The urge to smoke is one, the urge to have the greatest collection in the world is the other. For every pack you don't smoke, spend the equivalent amount on eBay. After you've been going a while you may be able to save up a few days worth before spending it. I worked out that if I gave up for two and a half weeks, I would save enough money to buy Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat and all three of the UK first-party DS launch games (not including SM64DS which I have already). That's a lotta moolah! Sometimes the urge to smoke is still quite strong... so go and stare at your collection (build it into a kind of shrine if you have to). Play some of your games and stare at the shrine until it passes. And just so you don't think I'm weird, my shrine currently consists of a shelf with GC and GBA games on it. If I had the rest of my collection to hand, however... Oh, and the timing has to be right. You have to want to give up. That's just been made a lot easier over here, as the government has pretty much banned smoking anywhere that's warm and dry.

they have done that here also outside or your own private prperty is about it . also we pay $12 cdn for 25 cigs here which is around 7 euro so its very expensive espicially for me as i got througha apck a day or more ( depending if i'm gaming or not. but yeah i'm not mentally ready thats why i have failed at my other attempts to quit. but in time i will try again.
i just recsently got on ebay and i just bought an unopened copy of turok3 for N64 ( one of my favorite series for that console) for $20 cdn which was a very good price .
out of curiosity i was wondering the relative age of most of the people here. i'm 19

21... but only until the 6th March.
A pack of 20 cigarettes costs around £4.40 here... no idea what that is in any other currency (including Euros). I was getting through one pack a day. So I've already saved around £30, and I haven't even given up for a week! So Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat will be mine tomorrow (and I won a mint NES copy of Clu Clu Land off eBay! Hoozah!)
See? it's working already!

Ofcourse, you are aware that you're just exchanging one addicting habbit for another addicting habbit, right?

I didn't give up because smoking was addictive or habit-making though, but because it was poisoning me. So replacing an addictive, habit-making poison with an addictive, habit-making healthy hobby seems to be a good move.
It's only unhealthy from a social perspective, but who needs friends that don't enjoy WarioWare anyway ;D

well actually i was thinking about you way of quiting.
and well i'm gonna quit an addictive enjoyed habit. i will be replacing it with a more addictive habit and the extra cash will let me get what i really want more nes games which for some reason this is a habbit that is almost as bad a smoking except it doesn't kill me. a big positive. but i'm gonna give it a shot and well first i'm gonna buy a few games then quit long enough to pay for them. its kinda backwords but its a start

As a pointer, that works much better if you quit AND buy a game on eBay on the same day.
I've worked out exactly how many days I will have had to have given up for to pay for all new Nintendo releases until April. Looks like I should be able to get all of them.
