Virtual Boy only came out in Japan and the US. It wasn't doing well enough to warrant a release in the PAL territories... I think the arranged release date was after the date they pulled them all off the shelves in the US.

DS was probably inspired by Famicom, Multi Screen Game & Watch, N64, Super Famicom and more. Later I'll add Revolution on the list, and even more later I'll cross it out I don't count BSX as a Nintendo system. It should be Japan only, anyway.

One day I hope to own a DK arcade machine, and a Mario Bros. arcade machine - in damn good condition too.
There is a guy in Adelaide (a city in Australia) that buys old machines, refurbishes them, and sells them out again - I happen to have a connection with him - all I need now is the excess of money that would warrant such a purchase, and the space to put two old aracde machines... this will take a LONG time...

I might buy one of those old arcade cabinets myself one day.

It's as much of a system as the Famicom Disk System, 64DD, etc... and seeing as people are listing things like "Game Boy Player" then I think the description is loose enough to include the Satellaview.
If I owned an arcade machine I'd like to have one of the rarer ones, like Monkey Magic, Sky Skipper, etc... just because EVERYONE wants Donkey Kong.

Heh, yeah...
I even have the room planned out...
It has to be quite large. In the centre, a decent-sized pool table (drooling...), with a mini-bar up one end. The walls are covered with a cool framed memorabelia (such as the Euro 2004 limited edition thing here at home, and cool old Coca-Cola ads, etc.), as well as a nice clean Greek flag and Cypriot flag up on the back wall. There's a darts board (of course - but it's the magnetic one currently in my bedroom - so cool), and a comfy couch.
And then... the coolest bit... the arcade machines! DK and Mario Bros. would be damn awesome... but if the room was big enough (and I had a tree that grew Australian money, in all its wonderful colours), I'd want a Super Mario Bros. pinball machine... and a Mario Kart Arcade GP machine (just one)...
It's my dream room - it has no TV, because there would be a giant flat-screen TV with comfy couches and surround sound somewhere else - and that's where the video games happen.
Fantasy over... but the arcade machines are still something I don't have that I seriously do want...

I think the truth is... money is the one thing we don't have that we want more than anything. If I had a bigger disposable income I might even kickstart a G&W collection. But... so... expensive...

You didn't know, because you never asked...
I don't know if he has a website DIU. He's an associate of a client of my pater. I was going on about old arcade machines once, only to be informed that there was a connection to a guy who sells them.
I hear, though, that he doesn't let go of the good ones - they're in his special warehouse or something.
But, DIU, even if I knew what you want to know... (insert evil music here... ;D)

No, they still sell old Game & Watches on eBay. You might be able to find G&W miniclassics here and there.

Hey Andronicus, old buddy, could you possibly inquire about The Simpsons Arcade game? I know there are a few around Adelaide, so chances are he could have one (the one from Magic Mountain, for example) and being a Simpson fan and a gaming fan it would be really cool to pick up.
Please?

I am yet to meet or talk to this man myself, but I guess I could try to find out a bit about what types of arcade machines he does sell.
I don't know what Magic Mountain is (apart from a conversation I saw in an Australian forum called NGA, that seemed to vanish...), but I assume it is/was a theme park.
Would The Simpsons Arcade game be, by any chance, that awesome fighting style game where you go along the streets fighting guys in suits, and if you fail, a little devil Bart hovers above the KO'd Bart? That was fun. There was also a game where there was a street, and if you crossed it, Otto would hit you with the bus... but I think that was on the NES. The first one was the arcade one, I think.
I'll try to find out - I'll pass the question on, and it will get passed on to the next person, etc. I want to find out about DK and MB arcade machines anyway, so I guess I'll bundle the Q's up into one big Q.
Could take a while to get an answer, but remind me every-now-and-then on either this forum or GPA.
Over!
