Can anyone tell me where SSBM got the name for the enemies in Mach Rider for? Not only does the US manual not call them "Quadrunners", but neither does the Japanese. In fact, if you look carefully at the manual pic of the enemy they are riding a 3-wheeled bike... hardly an apt name.
Any ideas?

Typing the word into Google I've learned that "quadrunner" is a common word for an ATV. Perhaps they didn't want to just call them "ATVs" and didn't think of the literal definition of the word.

Huh, interesting (should've known that, considering my current job)... still, shame they opted for "quad" when it's quite clearly a 3-wheeled vehicle.
Maybe another SSBM error?
