Is Ice Climber a good game - I mean, is there replayability? Surprisingly, there is good replay value in Ice Climber... well, that is if you're not throwing your controller at the TV because you just missed a platform by one pixel. One thing that keeps me playing is my high score; you feel so excited that just beaten your old record! And I love the sprites as well. And Akito Nakatsuka's Music is so hip! So basicly, it's everything in the game that makes me want to play it again. At first, you might be frustrated with the controls in IC, but if just give it a chance it will one of the best NES games you ever played.

I've never played Ice Climbers. But it is near the top of my list of NES games I need to buy.
And...uh...I don't speak any language other than English.

Cool - now I want to try out Ice Climber!
So, it was Fryguy's pen that was under the desk - it all makes sense now...
And Fungus - there's no shame in knowing only one language... but if I were you, I'd learn Greek... (I'm just kidding, of course... there is shame in knowing only one language - that's a joke). I could go on and on like this, but I won't.
Speaking of old NES games - anybody played Balloon Fight? That's the other game, next to Ice Climber that I always wanted to try out. Any good?

If I ever decide to learn a new language it will be Japanese. I played Balloon Fight on Animal Crossing. It's pretty cool.

So, it was Fryguy's pen that was under the desk - it all makes sense now... "Unter" might mean "on". It sounds like "under", but "on" makes more sense. I don't know. Ich bin nicht gut deutsche sprechen, as evident by that sentence which, if correct, translates to "I am not good German speaking". See what I mean?

Yeah, alright, so you've all learned I suck at languages. I happily say that Balloon Fight is one of the best NES games - and definitely has one of the more catchy theme tunes. I've played the main game through until the levels looped, and I've gotten to #1 in Balloon Trip. Delightful to play. Even more delightful to listen to. Nintendo's music men did wonders with that machine.

My second favorite game on the NES is Balloon Fight! I can get somewhat far into the game, however I'm not that great at it. The sprites are very cute except for the bad guys. What's the deal with the bad guys heads? They look like Viking helmets! I also love the sound effect when the lighting bolt hit the edge of the screen. Balloon Fight is gotta be one of Hip Tanaka's best musical scores (next to Metroid).
*starts humming various tunes from Balloon Fight*

Boa Tarde. Eu sou danipepino, e eu tambem amo jogos do Nintendo. Eu nao confio nas outras companias de jogos eletronicos tanto como Nintendo. I see that this topic is concerned upon new members, Nintendo lovers, and people who speak more than one language (by the way, I was speaking Portuguese). I am not a new member, but this is my first post ever since December, so I guess I'd be considered a new face to you guys. Anyways, I enjoy Ice Climbers and their NES title although I suck as them in SSBM, and at their game. I prefer Donkey Kong because his games are with what I've grown up playing, from Arcade to Jungle Beat.

Jungle Beat is one of the best games I've played in a long time. And if you like DK, you'll love King of Swing (when it finally comes out anywhere that isn't Europe). I've completely finished it now... not too hard, but it is the perfect marriage between Clu Clu Land and Donkey Kong Country... Loads of extra bonuses to find, loads of secret areas... and of course, loads of extra per cent on your save file.
