ok, someone has to help... i'm trying to remember a game that i used to own... all i can remember is a black and white checkered ground that rolled toward you...almost infinately...and then you'd have to jump, sometimes really far and the game continued to move you foward so you really couldn't stop, or turn around. I remember it the colors and everything about it were really surreal...and the fact that you could run straight into the game seemed like something pretty ground breaking at the time too.... i've only ever owned nintendo systems and this must have been like 15 years ago...can't remember if it was nes or super nes, but when i ask the boys, they look at me like i'm nuts. oh yeah, i'm a girl, so it was probably a chick game... anybody think they can help?

Gah, I know the game you're talking about, but I can't remember its name. I do know it was by Squaresoft, and was for the NES.
Ah, there we go... 3D World Runner. I knew I'd get it in the end.

Firstly, welcome to the forums jamie. Secondly, Fryguy... how do you do that?? You know Nintendo games like some sort of "Nintendo DataBase"... what's with that? ;D

Yeah, Fryguy is right. It looks really neat. tsgk.captainn.net/index.php; this website has some 3D World Runner Sprites. Just click on NES on the left side of your screen and scroll down until you find 3D World Runner

Sorry, Mark. I met to say that I was agreeing with you that the description sounded like 3D World Runner. I've probably had too much soda that night. Hi Jamie! My name is Max and I'm a fan of 3D World Runner as well (even though I never played it). I also like Ice Climber which was a game for the NES as well. You might want to try it out. Anyway, this is the friendliest video game forums I have ever been too. However, I haven't been flamed yet.

Mark? Who's Mark? Is Fryguy Mark? How did you know that was his name? (I didn't know we were on a real-name basis around here...) ;D
Anyways. I don't think so called "flaming" happens around here anyway IceClimber (or should I say... Max), so you ought not to be "flamed".
And, for the record, I never knew 3D World Runner even existed, so there.
;D

Mark? Who's Mark? Is Fryguy Mark? How did you know that was his name? I read the FAQ on NinDB. I don't think so called "flaming" happens around here anyway IceClimber (or should I say... Max), so you ought not to be "flamed". Great! That'll calm me down a bit! *takes deep breath*

We're not on a first name basis here. Fry or Fryguy or Fryster... hell, I've even started signing "FRY" as my name in high-score tables. Hey... it looks better than MSK.
*wonders who will try to guess what the S stands for*

I don't even know what the "K" stands for... (Nor did I know there was a site FAQ...)
Anyways. My secret identity must be kept safe, for the security of all mankind, you see... (But already, you know too much!)
Seriously though, is this jamie going to come back and tell us all if Fryguy was correct in naming the game?

Kelly is his last name. I thought everyone knew that.
And it seems Mr. Kelly is challenging my guessing abilities! And I accept! Your middle name is...Sam or some other form of Sam. Am I correct?

"3D" World Runner... I thought 3D could only be seen on Super Famicom or later systems. I was wrong. We're not on a first name basis here. Fry or Fryguy or Fryster... hell, I've even started signing "FRY" as my name in high-score tables. Hey... it looks better than MSK. *wonders who will try to guess what the S stands for* I always sign myself "Nintendo" or "NTD" on high-score tables

Nothing to do with Sam. And I've emailed Jamie to try and find out if we were being helpful, or just filling her topic with rubbish The game wasn't really 3D, but it used those silly 3D glasses to a) give you a vague 3D effect and b) give you a headache. Much more fun without the glasses.
