Firstly, I know I'm new here, so I might as well introduce myself. I've been a huge longtime fan of this site since Melee was announced and this site was basically coming into its own. I help run Super Smash Stadium, which you may or may not have heard of; it's essentially an ongoing SSB fanfiction down at SMBHQ.com with its own staff/community. Pretty tight. But anyways, I've finally grown the gall to start posting here, and I'd be glad to be assimilated as you wish
Regardless, I found a working translation of Nazo no Murasamejou, and, I must say, this game is fantastic. I'm disappointed Nintendo never bothered to bring it Stateside, as it certainly could've held its own against, and maybe even surpass, Zelda. Takamaru definitely needs to appear in the next Smash Bros. game, if anything. He's not another Link/Marth clone, that's for sure.
I'd like to see an update to the series on the Rev or the GCN, though, considering how unique it is. Takamaru has the ability to collect scrolls that he gathers from fallen enemies, and these give him different items to throw, basically. He gets basic kunai, then later fireballs and what looks like fans, then these can be upgraded to be thrown in threesomes out in a "fan" pattern. Up close to enemies, he slashes with his sword, and he can deflect incoming shurikens and other goodies by slashing them too (yeah, it's awesome). He gets different sandals to up his speed and let him walk on water, and he has the ability to turn invisible at the expense of what appears to be magic. The game is essentially one big path to the fortress, loaded with ninjas and rival samurai. And it rocks the casbah. If you haven't, I implore you to check it out immediately.
And... that's that for my first submission to the forums ;D
