Right, I'm throwing the floor open for this one... do you think there are sections that could be added that aren't bleedin' obvious? A regular suggestion is more information on hardware, and this I intend to provide very soon - and I know some of you are awaiting the return of the Developer Lists (well, you'll be glad to know I'm roughly halfway through them right now).
But is there anything you think the site is really missing? My attempt at a mailbag fell flat on its arse, but what do you think of a section of articles on Nintendo? Do you think a Site Map is even feasible for a branching website such as this? And so on.
So put on your thinking caps and come up with something that might be worth a look in the future. And don't even think of suggesting things like a fanfic section!

What you need is.....um.....ah! More pictures! This site has lots of text, which is fine, but I like looking at pretty pictures as well you know. A page of official artwork for each game maybe? And some "as time goes by" screenshots to break up the individual franchise pages. Yeah. Its good.
EDIT: Could you do some fancy wallpapers of your nice 'Ninty Stars' artwork also please? (too much baby-talk! MEH)

How about a fanfic section? Just kidding, sorry.
I probably already mentioned this before, but I'd like to see the Peripherals section back.

Peripheral list, perhaps?
I know you used to have this once a long time ago, though.

How about a section with short Bios of important Nintendo Real People? People that are or were important for the company like the Yamauchis, Miyamoto, Howard Lincoln, Gunpei Yokoi, etc...
I think it should be important to remember this people as well as their games.

Before you yell at me and toss me out the message board.... You need a list of 3rd party developers (maybe not) A site map would be good... Maybe subsites, like dedicated to Zelda, Mario, Pokemon (with others to lead) Schematics! I mean, like, tech specs A REAL DOMAIN NAME! ( www.nindb.co.uk ? Don't click on it..) Translation patches? Howard and Nester toons and other NP scans (or the Europe equilivant) Ninty cartoons (Captain N:P) LOADS of shots...

For the screenshot thing, I don't think we really need more. Besides, the space avalible is limited and NinDB is a big site! If we add barely 1 more screenshot for every game, it may be overloaded already.
What I hope to see in this site: -Hardware peripherials -1st and 2nd party developer list, I especially want to know what happened to RD2 and IRD! It seems that they don't make much games - most works are doen be EAD and RD1! -Games that are upcoming -Mysterious games that appeared in the E3 or any other conference, but are not yet released. An obvious example is Super Mario 128. (I don't think it came out as Mario Sunshine... maybe a remake of Super Mario 64 2?)

Right, some good ideas here... and some daft ones. I shall comment on them and let you know why I will (or not) consider them.
More Pictures I'm not going down the route of official artwork sections, because (believe it or not) sites have been shut down in the past for providing tons of official Nintendo artwork - it's copyright infringement. Despite what has been said: space is not limited - I'm on Gamespy! Gamespy lovingly provides me with nigh-on unlimited space. I am always after more screenshots, and am in the process of TV Card testing so I can get as many as time will allow. Nintendo Stars wallpaper is a bit too self-indulgent for my tastes.
Peripherals I want to put this stuff back up too... even if it starts as just a list. The main reason is that some systems (Disk System, Game Boy Printer, Super Game Boy, etc.) have Mario cameos in them! Schematics were also mentioned. These are BORING! Feel free to research and write them up yourself and I may put them up, but I'm not doing that myself.
Walkthroughs I am actually working on some of these. I'm not going to do big and ridiculous walkthroughs that spoil every aspect of the game, but I want to put up something along these lines (and possibly integrate them into secrets/cheats sections).
Nintendo Encyclopaedia Not only would this be ridiculously time-consuming, but due to the non-database nature of the site it would be hard to pull off. Maybe in the distant future, as it is something I would like to eventually pursue.
Fan Art Gallery We have one of these already, but nobody is using it... it's called the Nintendo Stars section.
Official Merchandise Sadly this would require a separate tangent that the site is not currently geared towards. Unlikely.
Important People I had something like this in the works quite some time ago, but then I realised I need to collect game credits first for it to really be of any interest. Happy to work on it quietly in the background, but it would be a big job.
List of 3rd Party Developers If you want to see this kind of information, go and find another website! Duuuh. Or compile it yourself. I'm not interested in the slightest.
Site Map I only recently noticed I didn't have one... but do you realise how big it would be? The main issue is that once you check out the NES section (for instance) I would have to list every game page and every page related to that game (cameos, cheats, etc.) pain in the arse. It wouldn't really be that useful if it was so big, would it?
Franchise Subsites If these were to be made in the future they would be integrated into the franchise sections. If I came up with some kind of encyclopaedia thing (see above) then this would be how it would happen. But I think if you really want some good franchise-specific information then I have a lot of decent sites as affiliates already that you can check out.
Domain Name If you want to pay for it, be my guest. I'd prefer to spend my (limited) money on food and games, thanks.
Translation Patches Skating too close to emulation and hacking for my liking. Besides, I can only use what people are happy to send me (and it has to be their own work)... I'm not sitting there making my own.
NP Scans copyright infringement. No.
Nintendo Cartoons Could possibly happen (though would include films and stuff as well). Will not include TV cameos. We've discussed this in the past, though... I don't really want to handle a section such as this myself.
Announced Games I am currently trying to think up a viable format for announced games. My previous efforts have ended up being too awkward and time consuming to update, or ultimately disappointing. I do want to get something of the sort up in time for E3 though, as I want to cover the Revolution closely.
As an added note: Mr. Molecule, do you run a website? You seem to think there's a team of people with an unlimited supply of money and time spewing forth here. There isn't... it's just me, the money I have left over after paying for rent, bills and food, and the time I have left over after returning from a low-paid full time job, keeping house and generally having a real life (which is becoming increasingly sacrificed, it feels like). A domain name is unnecessary, as it would lead everyone to Planet Nintendo anyway (and everyone else seems quite capable of finding it)... and I can compile the downloads and information you asked for, but I would have to sacrifice all other updates without having a positive effect on the site overall. If you want to see a lot of stuff that isn't on NinDB then maybe you need to find a different website.

All right, I'm sorry. Well...if you keep the message board...add the peripherals...that's good enough for me. I guess I don't like looking far and wide for information and prefer to look in one place. In fact...I do have a website now...and I'll put it on my "ending quote" soon. And the translations? I meant not YOU making them...but.... I guess I was thinking to hard. Really. And that kind of stuff CAN be posted on the board...or can it? The truth is...I like NinDB. Although I was slightly disappointed when I first discovered it, Nintendo Database has explored deeper into the Ninty world that I ever thought. About the subsites and domain name...I was assuming you could get people to help you on the website. It must be hard also juggling maintaining a message board on top of your priorities. Like I said...apologies. Well, you snapped at me, like I predicted, but I would like to stay in these message boards.

Damn, almost everything having to do with Nintendo has been covered. I just have to say something... Fryguy, you once mentioned that you decided that CD-i games with Nintendo characters and similar games for other non-Nintendo consoles (such as Colecovison or Atari) all belonged to the same future section, but that you didn't know where to put things such as the Pocket Pikachu or Hello Kitty "virtual pets". I think that even though Nintendo had different levels of influence on them, they also belong there, if only for the fact that there are just too much things which resemble both the other games and the virtual pets which will render any attempts at classificiation unsuccesful (for example: the Game-Boy shaped Nintendo Classics "Super Mario Bros." and "Donkey Kong Jr." stand-alone games, the mysterious "Game Watches" I once read about on this site, non-Nintendo games in non-Nintendo consoles which make allusions to Nintendo, PC liscenced Nintendo games, etc.). You have no idea how much time I spent on this post...

MrMolecule... if I get frustrated at you for some reason it doesn't mean I'm about to boot you off the messageboard. I wouldn't have bothered explaining why I was impatient with your presumptions. I'm not willing to take on staff willy-nilly.
Anything relevant without game pages will eventually get them... but as for when, that's the problem. That's irrelevant anyway, I explained that this was to suggest new sections, not improvements to existing sections.
I may get cracking on peripheral pages right away. I have a few good sources for that kind of information, but I will need some help with older game systems.
