Walkthroughs I am actually working on some of these. I'm not going to do big and ridiculous walkthroughs that spoil every aspect of the game, but I want to put up something along these lines (and possibly integrate them into secrets/cheats sections). Nintendo Encyclopaedia Not only would this be ridiculously time-consuming, but due to the non-database nature of the site it would be hard to pull off. Maybe in the distant future, as it is something I would like to eventually pursue. Fan Art Gallery We have one of these already, but nobody is using it... it's called the Nintendo Stars section. Official Merchandise Sadly this would require a separate tangent that the site is not currently geared towards. Unlikely. Shucks, i'm such a spaz

So until then, I suppose I shall have to keep the market cornered with Encyclopedia-ness and Fan Art Gallery for general Nintendo sites.

Another idea! Lists and pics of all the official colour schemes/special themes for consoles (akk! such bad grammer!)
Err..what I mean is: a list of paint-jobs each console comes in, including special colour schemes such as the triforce GBA SP. I'm just curious to see how many different GBA SP styles there are, it seems like loads!

If you do make those sections, remember to add the three promotional DS' that these movie stars bought in a celebrity auction.
Actually all three are nice, it amazes me the ugliest of the three (IMO) sold for 10,000 while the other two sole for 2500 - 3000
yeahhh... new NinDB sections hi

One thing that I was thinking would be nice would be if you did biographies of some of the more important people at Nintendo and listed what games/systems/anything else they were involved with.
Like say... Myamoto, Iwata, Gumpei Yoko, Reggie...

Basic hardware sections are done! Whoo!
Maybe individual bios of certain Nintendo men will work better once the Developer Lists are back up and running.

So can you get back to me on my list-of-colour-schemes idea? I don't mind if its Yes or No, I just need closure.
On a related note, have you checked out the new special-edition Pokemon themed Nintendo DS?
EDIT: YET ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA!!! This one might take a bit of work, but I would quite like to browse through the games by game-type (eg sports, RPG, etc) in addition to the currently available methods of browse. Could it be done? Like a little thing on the sidebar just above "specials" entitled "browse by game-type" or something?

I have seriously considered it for certain types of game, but you get in dangerous, shark-infested territory if you start dictating to people game genres. For sports and games that would be possible, but I fear the "Action" section would be a little bit... large.

If NinDB was ever in a real database, it would be cool if we (read: you) could get people to submit lists of the names in credits. And then, using that, set up a database for people and have it so it will automatically list their respective games. And of course, optionally, games could list all the people who worked on it. Then after that, for each individual, it would only be a matter of filling in the blanks to give them a separate page.

You mean exactly like they have over at www.n-sider.com? The site that I nearly joined, partly for that very thing? Maybe... but every time I read about PHP my eyes glaze over faster than a turkey on Christmas day.

I was gonna say that too...you should put up game saves people can download (it's not illegal to put up a save...just a ROM) or add emulated music/MIDIs so I can listen to cool Nintendo music (meanwhile, I just downloaded a Zelda 3 soundtrack!)

Sadly there are SOME restrictions being on Gamespy... and big ol' files have to be uploaded to the File Planet server. That includes most music files. I would say no anyway. People have to submit game saves, and while I'm sure between us all we could rack up quite a big bundle, I'm just not that interested in doing so. There are huge websites out there dedicated to it, with people who work hard to put them together and collect those game saves. I'm not one of them. I like game discussion and archiving. More character stuff, more screenshots, more cameos... information is my game
