Its been nigh on a month since anyone posted here so I thought I kick start the board. Ok, so I can't think of anything interesting to do with classic nintendo, but I would like to hear what you think so I'll throw a few questions about, please add to them and contribute...
1) What is the worst nintendo game (or nintendo licensed product) you ever spent your hard earned $$$ on? (sorry nintendo).
2) What is the best bargain you have seen on retro games/consoles/accessories at your local store?
AND
3) What old games have you sold/ part exchanged / trashed...etc that you wish you didnt and really wanted it back?
My personal answers are:
1) Hmm probably the worst game I bought was F-Zero for Gameboy Advance / SNES. I really wasnt impressed, but its diversity of opinion, I dont want any killing me ;D (Note: this was probably cuz I played F-Zero GC first and was amazed)
2) Best bargain? Ooh, its gotta be a Nintendo 64, Pad, Rumble Pak, F-Zero 64, Mario 64 and Smash Bros 64 bundle for £35. For the price of a new game you can relive the dream! Sadly I didnt have enough cash and it was gone...sigh
3) I sold Super Mario Sunshine, can you believe!! I bought it back a few weeks later realising my mistake. That about it...I've learned never to sell games without thinking it through.
As I say, add any questions you want, but plz answer them honestly - I dont want any "I saw a SNES with every game for £1" or "I bought a Nintendo Wii and sold it, now I want it back" ;D Sorry just having a laugh with you! Thanks every1!

1) What is the worst nintendo game (or nintendo licensed product) you ever spent your hard earned $$$ on? (sorry nintendo).
Yoshi's Story for N64. Yoshi's Island on SNES is one of the all-time best platformers, and YS was just a huge disappointment. Dull, tedious, annoying sound. Just not fun. As soon as I played it, I wished I had bought Mischief Makers instead. Even it is a far Superior platform game.
2) What is the best bargain you have seen on retro games/consoles/accessories at your local store?
I don't really keep track of that stuff much, but last year I did see a Sega Saturn that included at least one regular controller, an analogue controller and six games (including Nights Into Dreams, Mega Man X4 and Daytona USA) for only US $80. I almost picked that one up myself.
As for Nintendo stuff, though... well, last January I bought the N64 version of Resident Evil 2 brand new for only US $20. Compare that to the Gamecube version which typically goes for US $45 (more than its original cost) used.
3) What old games have you sold/ part exchanged / trashed...etc that you wish you didnt and really wanted it back?
I stopped selling any of my games a long time ago. Thankfully, there were only a few casualties. I suppose if I could get any of them back, I'd want Super Smash TV for SNES and Mega Man 1 and 3 for GB.

1) What is the worst nintendo game (or nintendo licensed product) you ever spent your hard earned $$$ on?
Yoshi's Universal Gravitation... without a doubt. If Yoshi's Story was quite disappointing, this was an loud insult to my face.
2) What is the best bargain you have seen on retro games/consoles/accessories at your local store?
The original boxed Game Boy I bought with eight perfect boxed games for £50. I then traded two of them in right there and then in exchange for £10 off Polarium Advance. Bonus!
3) What old games have you sold/ part exchanged / trashed...etc that you wish you didnt and really wanted it back?
I traded in a bunch of N64 games way back when in exchange for... err.... I think it was Banjo-Tooie. It was a couple years later I realised half those games were Nintendo published. I now DO have them back. Yay!
EDIT I would like to point out the gravity (chortle) of my Yoshi's Universal Gravitation selection. Remember that I collect Nintendo games - even the bad ones. That means it's worse than Pokemon Channel, Cruis'n USA, and any Mario Party game. That's pretty bad.

1) What is the worst nintendo game (or nintendo licensed product) you ever spent your hard earned $$$ on? (sorry nintendo).
I guess the worse Nintendo product I've ever bought would be F-Zero GP for the Gamecube. I never really got into the game.
2) What is the best bargain you have seen on retro games/consoles/accessories at your local store?
Um... Pass?
3) What old games have you sold/ part exchanged / trashed...etc that you wish you didnt and really wanted it back?
When my NES broke, I got rid of all my games for it. Among them were SMB, SMB 2, SMB 3, LoZ, LoZ:AoL, and Final Fantasy. Now that you can get an NES at a flea market for $5, I wish I had them back.

1) What is the worst nintendo game (or nintendo licensed product) you ever spent your hard earned $$$ on? (sorry nintendo). Honestly? I can't think of a single thing. I've bought a couple of games that made me think: "Hm, maybe I should've bought that other game instead", but none that I actually thought were particularly bad or not worth buying.
2) What is the best bargain you have seen on retro games/consoles/accessories at your local store? Unfortunately, none. The oldest Nintendo products I can buy here are a couple of GBC games... and they're mostly Barbie-type games.
3) What old games have you sold/ part exchanged / trashed...etc that you wish you didnt and really wanted it back? My N64 with Super Mario 64 and Diddy Kong Racing (I had another game, but I don't really want that one back). My father sold it and bought me an SNES while I spent a few days at a friend. While I'm happy he did - I played the SNES much more than the N64 - I'd still like to have my N64 back.

1) What is the worst nintendo game (or nintendo licensed product) you ever spent your hard earned $$$ on? (sorry nintendo). Umm.... I never regret spending on Nintendo's products, but my answer is StarFox Adventures. It's a great game after all, but it's just too hard for me.
2) What is the best bargain you have seen on retro games/consoles/accessories at your local store? I buy things almost always at lower price than you guys. Maybe I should consider working at Europe and sending money back, asking my family to buy games for me and send 'em back. Wait, the postage fee... Anyway, the best bargain is probably when I had Zelda FSA for about 10 pounds. Not a VERY great bargain, anyway...
3) What old games have you sold/ part exchanged / trashed...etc that you wish you didnt and really wanted it back? Basically, I use almost all meachines until they die. I don't sell them unless I have no use with that, and I never throw anything that have electric flowing on them. So how am I supposed to answer this question?

I did have to throw away Silicon Valley on N64. Flamedude knows why! Even though he's never admitted it ;D

1) What is the worst nintendo game (or nintendo licensed product) you ever spent your hard earned $$$ on? (sorry nintendo). Either Kirby and the Amazing Mirror for the WTF level layout (big shame as I wanted to play as Smash Kirby more and Bomb Kirby again) or Donkey Kong Jungle Beat for being a disgrace to everything Donkey Kong. Sound was terrible, the enemies weren't even creative, DK seemed mentally ill, and the controls were horrendous. I'm glad I got my bongos with Donkey Konga, which was actually good.
2) What is the best bargain you have seen on retro games/consoles/accessories at your local store? I think I got Donkey Kong Country for 10 dollars.
3) What old games have you sold/ part exchanged / trashed...etc that you wish you didnt and really wanted it back? My Pokemon Silver, as it was the remnant of a once-good franchise, IMO.

1) What is the worst nintendo game (or nintendo licensed product) you ever spent your hard earned $$$ on? (sorry nintendo).
Mario Pinball Land.
2) What is the best bargain you have seen on retro games/consoles/accessories at your local store?
I have seen no good bargains at any local stores. With eBay, on the other hand, I find good bargains every time I look.
3) What old games have you sold/ part exchanged / trashed...etc that you wish you didnt and really wanted it back?
Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

1) What is the worst nintendo game (or nintendo licensed product) you ever spent your hard earned $$$ on? (sorry nintendo).Hmm. All my games are pretty carefully planned out, so I don't reget getting any of them. In retrospect, though, Kirby 64, Yoshi's Story, Baten Kaitos (is that licensed?), Mario Kart: Double Dash, and Mario and Luigi: PiT were all... wastes of my time. I know, I know. Shoot me where I stand. I enjoyed the hell out of them while I played (still haven't beaten Baten Kaitos), but looking back, they weren't worth the effort or cash. Either too short or too unoriginal. Double Dash just flat out sucked. 2) What is the best bargain you have seen on retro games/consoles/accessories at your local store?I saw Smash Bros. 64 for 3 bucks. Who the hell would do such a thing?! I still don't own it, interestingly enough 3) What old games have you sold/ part exchanged / trashed...etc that you wish you didnt and really wanted it back?I've never ever sold or given away any of my games. My brother did take Wario Land and Mario Land 2 when he got his own GameBoy, and I haven't really seen them since. He also lost his copies of Metroid Fusion and Mario Golf GBC. Tsk tsk... I miss those games :/

Wow, thats what I call a bargain! I would have had bought that like a shot, even though I've got a copy. Im confused at why you did take advantage of such a profitable investment. lol ;D
Anyway, its interesting reading ur replies, I thort it was time for a few more questions for you guys to think about, after all it is Q and A. Okay, lemme think:
4) What is your favourite genre/type of game (not sure thats a retro question but oh well)
5) How many games have you got for each of your consoles (from NES to N64 only)
6) What is the most cash you have every spent on a game/hardware/accessory? (excluding consoles)
my personal answers are:
4) RPG's are my favourite genre and always will be 5) NES-5, SNES -5, N64 - 8, GB-10 6) Um...cant think, id say Donkey Konga with the Bongos for 39.99
Anyways thanks

4) What is your favourite genre/type of game (not sure thats a retro question but oh well)Platformer. Any Mario game will do 5) How many games have you got for each of your consoles (from NES to N64 only)I don't have the exact figures for some reason... but I'll estimate... NES = around 12 SNES = probably 20 N64 = probably closer to 40 6) What is the most cash you have every spent on a game/hardware/accessory? (excluding consoles)Excluding the consoles? Erm... not sure. I would guess the Virtual Boy counts as a console...

Well, A) I was buying something else that was pretty expensive; B) the copy of the game had some kid's name written on it, and that stuff bugs me; and C) I was with friends, and we all were pretty much trying to rush out of there (It was around the holidays and absolutely PACKED). I played SSB64 A LOT in the day, and Melee is fine enough for me to not have to go back and buy the original. I will own it someday, maybe on my Wii 4) What is your favourite genre/type of game (not sure thats a retro question but oh well)Depends on my mood; I shift over the years, and sometimes cycle. I'm always up for Platformers and Adventure games (in the vein of Zelda), and Puzzlers can be fun. Arcade style games (such as Shmups and games like Metal Slug or Bubble Bobble) are fun, as are 2D Fighters. I've only recently really had RPG fandom come into its own (Pokemon/Mario RPG introduced me, but it was after I joined an online RPG with a few friends on a whim that I suddenly became really interested). Other than the lengthy previous answer, I guess here's the skinny: My absolute favorite genres are Platformers and Adventure games, with Arcade style games just behind. RPGs, Puzzlers, and Fighters are favorites at times as well. 5) How many games have you got for each of your consoles (from NES to N64 only)Oh god... Here's my stupid IGN profile club.ign.com/b/list/custom?&lid=100018&owner=FlipTroopa&mode=vown6) What is the most cash you have every spent on a game/hardware/accessory? (excluding consoles)Not including the console? Hmm... This is Nintendo only, and I'm trying to think. I spent 50 bucks for the GB Player, because I figured that would be better than an actual GBA at the time (until I could save up cash for a SP, is what I mean). Remember when NES games were about 60 bucks? Haha. That was crazy. I guess then the most money I've spent would be 60 dollars for a number of games.

4) What is your favourite genre/type of game (not sure thats a retro question but oh well)
This may be a little broad, but I like arcade style games and adventure games.
5) How many games have you got for each of your consoles (from NES to N64 only)
NES: 29 Game Boy: 20 SNES: 34 N64: 11
6) What is the most cash you have every spent on a game/hardware/accessory? (excluding consoles)
It's a tie between Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy III (SNES) at $80 (US) each. And they were each worth every penny!
