Zzz... what a boring topic.
Maybe you should say something interesting here BooDestroyer. Maybe you should think about it. Maybe you should speculate on WHY Nintendo didn't bring their much-loved Metroid series to a 3D console before they were sure of how to do so.
After all, don't you remember how hated Metroid Prime was before it was released?

I don't know this for sure, but I think the reason why Metroid was not released for the N64 because the graphics wouldn't look very good.
I will guess no further

Well..... why no Wario 64? No Super Mario Bros 64?
Do you even need a reason?
But then.... if you are to make Metroid on 64.... what would you do? Make it 2D like HAL's stuff? Or make it 3D like Prime? Or make it autoscroll shooters?
I'd save it for the next console (GC) for better quality. And I can't even imagine what it will look like in 64.
Although... "making Metroid FPS for a 64-bit console" IS possible for Nintendo Software Technology. With video render instead of 3D render for cutscenes (Puzzle League did it) and such, they can do it.
Of course, that is, provided that they could do 128-bit quality image at that time. Maybe that's exactly why there's one for DS but not 64.
And I'm merely guessing stuff. Don't blame me, haha.

If you want to imagine what it would look like, imagine mud. That's not an abbreviation or a metaphor... no... imagine mud! Dirty, splodgy, brown mud.
After all, that's what caverns tended to look like in N64 games.

In general, the Gamecube's lineup of games kicked the arse of the N64. Think about how many first and second party games received an installment compared to the previous generation.
If there was a Metroid 64, I think it would've been great as a quasi-3D 2D platformer. But I'm happy with Prime.
