According to this Joystiq.com article, Paper Mario has been announced as the next Nintendo 64 title coming to the Virtual Console. I dunno about the rest of you, but this is pretty sweet news; PM was an awesometastic game and it's great to get the chance to play the title again.

Considering the rarity (and therefore expense) of the PAL version, this is great news, and I'll definitely be picking it up. I have played it through, but on my American N64 which doesn't work any more. I tried buying a PAL copy but it was stolen from my doorstep when it was delivered Stupid postal service!! So this'll be the first N64 game I'll buy for the VC, I expect! Rockin'! Now we just need a PAL release of SMRPG and we're set!

Sounds good. It's between this, and Mario kart 64.

Awesome. Be worth another playthrough if Paper Mario 2 didn't improve on every single aspect of the game already Now all we need is Mario RPG >.>

I just replayed Paper Mario on my N64. I'd love to see it on the VC.

Someone that lives in Australia has told me it never came out there. My favorite N64 game... I'm very happy. Will be great to relive the moments. It came out in Japan yesterday, which is why I'm bumping this, and probably out next week in America. Europe may very well get it Friday.
