Allow me to introduce my theory about the mysterious Eternal Star Writing. As most of you are no doubt aware, The plaque beneath the star in the courtyard of Super Mario 64 has been under much debate the sign is rumored to say either "Eternal Star" or "L is Real " followed by some number. I say that the sign is not in English but in the Hylan from Ocarina of time. The plaque also appeared in Oot In dodongo's cavern. Which may mean that the plaque was being used in early production for OoT and got rushed in or put in by someone who was on both teams. Proof: Look at the first letter of the last word. Now look at the Te Symbol from the Text. One of my older theories was that the sign said "Placement Demo" But I've lost my proof and cannot redo it for some reason. I don't know why there would be spaces between the words though since that never happend in Oot. A spacing error may be to blame though.

Nope! Still looks like "Eternal Star" to me. I wish someone was able to extract the unblurred texture from either of the games - though I suspect it was blurry to begin with (or someone would have done it by now).

It likely was blurry to begin with. all the signs in Mario 64 Were like that even though the could have been clear. Still I can't make it "Eternal Star" Or "L is Real" the text just doesn't look like it to me. Update:It appers that the Texture is 32x32 Pixels So it does blur when scaled. Courtsy of: Racoon Sam and The Spriters ResourceScaled 1000% That's it. Really.

Did anyone see in that Nintendo News Network fanfilm there was a scrollby on the bottom that said "L is real "?
