It's what many people nickname it as "The Last Great Console". It's the 16-bit home console we know. It's the Super NES / Super Famicom.
EDIT: This thread discusses about Nintendo-related Wikipedia articles that became featured articles.

Well I wouldn't go as far to say the last great console...but it was good.

I've seen other Nintendo-oriented daily featured articles at Wikipedia. Namely, Wario and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It's not too unusual since a majority of Wikipedia's visitors are tech geeks and gamers. It's still cool, tho. Oh, and the last great console was the Dreamcast.

Pretty much I'm convinced the Gamecube was the best Nintendo console yet. I realize maybe only like, one person, will agree with me. But it had some of the best iterations of the franchises of any other console. I'm always finding a new lovely gem to play on it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 'Cube. At the time, I even saw it as a comeback for Nintendo since I was disappointed with the N64. I also loved the fact that Nintendo was doing new and creative things with their old franchises (cel-shaded Zelda, first-person Metroid, Star Fox as an adventure game), as well as introducing franchises that had not previously been released outside of Japan (Animal Crossing, Custom Robo).

You died at a very young age. We will miss you. Ahem...anyways, I never actually owned a SNES. I was one of those kids who had a Genesis. But my friend had a SNES. I liked it so much that later I got an N64. Good times. Then I bought a Playstation 1.

Hm... I'm surprised no-one has come in and said that the Wii is a "Great Console". Well, I guess I might as well. The Wii is a great console as well. It just doesn't have enough games out yet, but once SSBB comes out...

Today's featured Wikipedia article is about the Donkey Kong arcade game.

The 'Pie factory' level is the best. Shame it got cut from the NES version. And I absolutely hate the spring level - I keep dying because I fall too far.

It's funny they show a picture of the Game & Watch version of the game. I was a total master of Donkey Kong. My local skating rink had the game and I had the high score on it.

I wouldn't call the SNES the 'Last Great Console.' I think that title should be given to the PS2, and maybe later to one of the next-gen systems.

The Super Gameboy is my favorite console because it's amazing what it does to gameboy games like give it entirely new music Heck, I even have a SGB2 but I can't use it because it was made in Japan but my question is if was sold on QVC how would you be able to play it?
