It looks like quite a nice game from the past. The robot-western theme is quite original as well.
Just one question, I would assume the target reticule on screen means this is a light gun shooter right?

Of course, it's easier with the mouse I have indeed played it all the way through to the end. It's got some strange ideas, excellent animation (for a SNES game anyway) and some humour (not really laugh out loud stuff - I guess the jokes aged worse than the game itself). It was developed by Software Creations, an American company who have also done some baseball games for Nintendo. The jury is still out on whether the rights to the game are still owned by Nintendo or not.

I've never played Tin Star, but I'd like to someday. Tin Star is pretty hard to find.

I liked the game, when it came out I even planed to buy it (to get something else to play with my superscope besides Yoshi Safari) but I don't remember what happened. Still I played trough some other media and liked what I saw.

Nintendo's Sheriff arcade title is also similar to Tin Star, probably because they both can shoot in like eight directions.

I updated the Wikipedia article about this SNES title, using the instruction booklet that came with the game. I'm still trying to find as much info about this game as possible.
