I'm new to the forum so sorry in advance for any mistakes. I was hoping someone could give me an idea if an original deck of Nintendo playing cards would be of any value. I mean the standard card deck with 52 cards + 2 jokers. They are made of polymer and are in a hard plastic case. I guess they are around 35 or so years old. I've had them since I was a teenager.

Welcome to the forum! Hmm . . . Since it's something from Nintendo past it would have gone up in value but I don't how much though. Espically if they are in good condition. Is it this pack of cards with the signature Nintendo ace of spades? Also you should have posted in the thread (but since your a first timer it's okay) "Nintendo Playing cards" which concidently was about a pack of Nintendo playing cards also going up for auction.

Hi and thanks for the welcome and guidance. Should I re-post my message in the thread you noted?...and yes, the Ace of spades is the same as the one in your picture.

The forum admidastrator (Fryguy64) should be able to move this into that thread, hopefully someone else here should be able to answer your question.

No, we're all good. We don't need ONE thread for playing cards and ONE thread for Hanafuda cards... people can come along and ask questions like this whenever they like.
Unfortunately, when it comes to values, I have no idea. I would recommend seeing if anyone has put up anything similar on eBay, and comparing the quality and prices.
It probably won't be a fortune, but would be worth a little to a collector.

Thanks for your understanding re my lack thereof about the forum. To be honest, I was completely blown away when my son pointed out the cards were Nintendo cards. I had no idea about this aspect of the company history. Thanks again. I will leave it to you to organise the status of the thread etc.
