This thread was made to discuss the Custom Robo series. When I check out ratings at different websites, I noticed that the two N64 versions (original Custom Robo and Custom Robo V2) both have better ratings than the other three do. GenG believes that Custom Robo: Battle Revolution (known as Custom Robo for Nintendo GameCube) is better than Custom Robo Arena because "it doesn't seem a low budget game. It has a great soundtrack, great design, great graphics, great plot, good characters and introduced new features (transformables, new models)." However, most of Battle Revolution's ratings are between poor and meh, while Arena's ratings are better. X-Play gave Battle Revolution a 3 out of 5, while they gave Arena a 4 out of 5. Here are three Custom Robo titles at GameRankings: Custom Robo (N64)Custom Robo: Battle RevolutionCustom Robo Arena

I really want to play Custom Robo badly. Which Custom Robo title are you going to start with?

Hm. I'm not sure. What would you recommend?

Unfortunately, Custom Robo Arena was the first in the series to be released in Europe, as we never got Battle Revolution. And sadly I don't think sales were high enough for us to get the original N64 versions on the Virtual Console "Hanabi Festival" in the future

Custom Robo Arena is also the only title in the series released in PAL regions, as well as the one released in more regions than every other Custom Robo title. Hm. I'm not sure. What would you recommend? I would say start with the first one for the N64, then V2, then GX, then Battle Revolution and then Arena.

Ugh...Arena was so boring. Every new day, you had to eat breakfast with your boring family, and discuss the same boring matters over and over. Same with dinner.
The fights were fun though. Storyline sucked.

Storyline sucked. True, NOISE isn't good at doing storylines, but they are pretty good at doing gameplay. The best things about Arena, in my opinion, are the veteran custom robos and parts from the previous titles of the series, and Wi-Fi connection.

I have Battle Revolution, never played much but it's fun in gameplay. The story looks like it could be good if you could skip cutscenes you've already seen multiple times. Blargh.
