Howdy ya'll, or something like that... Right, well - I was over at IGN, and found a story they've done on an art show called "i am 8-bit" - well known artists got together to do artworks based on their pre-1995 videogame memories. Now, I'll provide a link to the IGN website, as well as the actual show's website - check out some of the artowrk - I think some of this stuff is brilliant - awesome interpretations of some of these classic games (I have a creative streak, OK?). Check these out people - they're great: gameboy.ign.com/articles/606/606315p1.htmlwww.iam8bit.net/My favourite... media.gameboy.ign.com/articles/606/606315/img_2728846.html(Like it or not, this is actually how I've always seen SMB on the NES - part of me wishes the series took this gritty look over the cutesy look we have today, but I'm not complaining! ;D)

I like the Samus one the best . By the wayAndy, what's up with you and links to artwebsites? your other topics seem related to art in some way.

How lazy of you DIU... ;D
Solid Snake - coincidence I suppose. The artworks from IGN were found accidentally on the IGN website - I wasn't looking for them, but when I saw the link I checked it out, and found all these awesome pictures! Otherwise, I've always liked animations. Like I've said before, I'm working on one for the many Australian film festivals that occur annually. So, anything artistic usually gets my attention for a while. But, I'm a Commerce student (accounting, finance, business law, tax, etc.), and later a Law student, so my career won't be very creative...
But on the artworks again - the Duck Hunt one is cool. Duck Hunt is such a fun game - but that dog...

I've seen the 8-bit art at the PhillyClassic 5 (biggest game convention on the east coast) last year.
It was kinda over-priced though.

I saw the Excitebike one in a recent copy of Edge magazine, but for some reason I didn't go and visit the site myself. Laziness, as usual, prevailed
