Okay, so here's the situation here. I'm planning out a big fanfic/fancomic (either one) for a while now that'll be basically an epic Nintendo crossover story. I don't want to go into much detail, though, but I'm basically trying to pack every series possible in the actual story and have every series or character from Nintendo history play some role in the story or another.
That being said, I have most of the characters listed.
Just one problem: I have no clue on what the NES text-adventure games were about. I know small details, but that's it.
And quite frankly, I'd love to know if these text-adventures have some main antagonist to them with a big situation like, say, a monster killing randomers? What I'm saying is, do games like Yuu Yuu Ki, Shin Oni Ga Shimi, Time Twist, or even Tantei Club have a specific antagonist worthy enough to include in a Nintendo crossover story? And even not, I'm curious, if there is an antagonist I'd love to see some details about him/her.
I'd be very very grateful if anyone can answer this.
Also, another thing relating to names of characters, what about Famicom Wars? Is there any specific characters in it or just Orange Star Army and Blue Moon Army?

I don't know anything about NES text games, and very little about Famicom Wars. However, Commander Samusan of the Orange Star Army is Samus Aran from Metroid. Fry has the cameo on the Database, as well as a screen shot.

If you want to get into the War series plotwise, only Advance Wars and beyond has anything past "two armies fight each other". It's got characters and conflict.
Those text adventures have articles on Wikipedia, freshly translated off of Wikipedia Japan.
PS: Time Twist is touchy, since it involves real-world figures from history, Jesus Christ and Adolf Hitler among them.

Okay, thanks, I didn't realize that their wiki articles have been updated with character information and whatnot. Very cool. Last time I checked it was very small and hardly any info.
However, I still need to see what these villains look like and whatnot, specifically the Avatar of Darkness and Gyumaou. I'm guessing Avatar of Darkness is that shadow thing on the Shin Oni Ga Shimi boxart, but I don't want to jump to any conclusions, I want to be sure. Have no clue about Gymaou, though, I'd really love to see at least a hint of a picture of him.
Time Twist is gonna be hard to implement but I plan to anyway even if it ends up as just a small cameo. That main antagonist is the actual Devil (Christian one), right? Which will clash with the Devil World's Devil, and is something I don't want to do. I might rename Time Twist's Devil to Satan to separate them in some form or another, but whatever.

The Devil in Devil's World isn't supposed to be Satan, just a high ranking demon. In Europe, he was renamed Demon (you can check the UK section of Smashbros.com to see it), so all you'd have to do is refer to him as Demon, with proper nounage.

No he wasn't. I have the text from the original manual and he was still called "Devil". I think "Demon" was just a play to any religious sensibilities. Which is surprising... as America didn't do this for a change. Aaaanyway! Being that the games are near impossible to get through due to the complete dependence on Japanese text, I too have never seen much of any of these games. I'd very much like to as well...

Fry, I mean he was renamed for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I wasn't sure if he was for the European release of Devil's World (Wasn't it called Demon's World?) but he was renamed Demon for Brawl. Like I said, you can check the Dojo to see it.

Like I said, you can check the Dojo to see it. No, the PAL NES release was called Devil World, and was identical to the Japanese version in every way. Tamagon was totally removed from PAL Melee, unlike in the US where the data was there but you couldn't unlock him without a cheat cart. And I don't know why he was renamed Demon on the Brawl website, but we will have to wait and see if that carries over to the final release of the game.
