Super Mario Kart- Press B!

Nothing beats an afternoon of playing my SNES once again. Earthbound, Kirby Superstar, Super Mario All-Stars, and... Super Mario Kart! The game showed me the greatness of the timid Koopa Troopa. Not to mention it's just plain fun. So I just sketched this pic in a few minutes, nothing of a masterpiece, but I rather like how it came out.



Note it's a sketch, and yeah it isn't the best and has no color, I use color mostly with digital art. But feel free to comment and give some criticism.

This piece made my laugh - but not in a bad way! It reminded me of the times I spent on Super Mario Kart hurling banana skins at my friends. lol.

Now for the comments:
~ I like the drawing perspective, done really well
~ The expression on the koopa in background is priceless
~ Nice use of pencil there with the shading, light/dark areas

Now for the critism (nothing harsh):
~ Is that koopa standing up? No biggy, just confused me
~ Steering wheels a bit off and kart could use some work.

Thanks! The poor guy in the back is actually supposed to be Yoshi, kinda hard to make out though, apologies.

The karts I know I need to improve, had no reference so I did the best I could.

And yeah, I was trying to get it so Koopa was half sitting half nervously standing up. I guess he's just really nervous or something? XD

Ah, so thats Yoshi? I had my suspicions because he looked slightly different, but it looked just like the koopa in front so I thought it was another one behind him... You say the karts were drawn without reference? Well thats good then.

And I just noticed that you are new to the forums so welcome and keep up the posting! Especially in the Fan art because I love art / drawing...etc
