Yeah, I use layers, but I mainly work in Illustrator CS3 and CS2.
I did use Photoshop for the texture though, I'll work around some more.

I think I prefer the lack of texturing, personally.
Nice work on these, thus far. I really like the way they're turning out...make me want to draw the Brawl cast as well! ^_^ And lol at Wolf's Starbuck denial.

I love the swirly clouds and the gritty canvas. Shows Toon Link works in many styles.
