I made a grand total of two threads here, but since then I died and came back with a new body. From here, I will start anew, and I finally have a better idea of how I want to structure this thread. Here, I will post a few ideas with some brief descriptions, then make a poll to see which one will be made into it's own thread, with in-depth detail.
I: Donkey Kong World
First up is an idea for a 3D adventure that's meant to propel the DK franchise back onto the platformer shelf. Now, Mario has running and jumping around, Metroid has shooting and exploring, Kirby had copying abilities and beating up on enemies, Yoshi had a mobile life meter and lots of precise target hitting, and Wario had brute force and wacky pain-activated transformations. What did DKC have? The buddy system. In this game, you can run, jump, swim, explore, fight enemies and do a bunch of other stuff, all with the help of a buddy. You can either team two Kongs together or enlist the help of a friendly animal. The idea is that the game has the usual platforming, adventuring and fighting mechanics, except here they're built for two characters to work in tandem with one another. Think, M&L, only not an RPG, and heavily based on the atmospheric theme of DKC.
II: Super Mario Party DX
Couldn't think of a better title, but I know you all hate the Party series, so as a bonus, I'll make another thread doing an analysis of what makes the Mario Parties suck, and what there is to like about them. As for this particular idea, it's supposed to be a bigass package that combines all the mini-games and boards from the first three Parties and adds some of the silly features added in the later entires. Sorta like what they did with Saturn Bomberman after Super Bombermans 1 through 5.
III: Super Mario Kart GP Legend
I couldn't think of a better title, but I feel this series needs something better. This would have a roster of 34 obscure Mario characters, 36 brand new courses, and a catalog of around 100 items for making races hectic. The courses have all the manner of hidden paths and shortcuts, and there's a wide challenge spectrum with ten whole levels of difficulty.
As of now I only have two. More will come later. I also have plans for other types of threads, such as analysises(sp) of various game series, and rants about really shoddy games a la the Angry Nerd.
