Now, this isn't a confirmation, but I received an email suggesting that Luigi hums Totaka's Song in Luigi's Mansion. I explained that he was humming the Luigi's Mansion theme, but it did lead me to think that maybe... somewhere... Luigi could hum it. It's a good place to start looking, if anyone interested in tracking down Nintendo's most bizarre in-joke.  |

i wish i never sold the game so i could help you look caus right now i only have 3 games hes worked on and ive found them all (all of them where all ready cover in animal crossing, animal crosing:WW and the legend of zelda links awakining DX if memory serves me right)
but im still looking for that one part the "soft-ware pirates" found in TLOZ:LA but i have no luck

Well, while it's here... I've actually just stopped playing Luigi's Mansion on the first day of my "get an A-rank mansion/find Totaka's Song" quest. I'm convinced it's in the game somewhere, but... where!?

well i can't find anything.................. i been clearing lm ''4'' times so... no. i think hes playing a joke on people, i mean first hid it in mario paint, then la and ladx pikmin 2 sml2 and virtualboy wario land. so many games it's hidden in so he makes us think it's in it.  ..... just a tought. it don't have to be true. |

could be true but out of curiosity has totaka said anything about this song ever? I dont think he did but im just asking. do you think he knows people have found it yet?

Does he need to say anything about this song? It's his song. No argument about it. It's in nearly every game he has worked on as music director, and in Animal Crossing it's even called K.K.'s Song. And for the record, K.K. Slider is a caricature of Kazumi Totaka.
And the fact it keeps cropping up in new games he's worked on pretty much means we had a hypothesis, tested it, and so far we have no reason to disbelieve it.

I'm starting to get angry at this whole idea. If/when the song is ever found in Luigi's Mansion, I doubt it'll be Luigi whistling it.
Totaka doesn't even have sole Music Director credit for this one, and most of the songs aren't new. It doesn't seem like something he'd put his stamp on.
