I noticed that that particular section of the site hasn't been updated in a little while. I have two contributions to it. Tales of Symphonia - In the Sylvarant base in the Triet desert, you'll find a teal Nintendo Gamecube (which, if I recall, was the same as the Tales of Symphonia S.E. Gamecube that came out in Japan) that relates to a puzzle. Here's a screen as evidence (it's not mine, but if you want I can attempt a digital picture of it, despite my knowing you hate that ) - www.mobygames.com/game/gamecube/tales-of-symphonia/screenshots/gameShotId,112992/ (The comma is messing the link up...so you'll have to highlight the whole link to make it work) SSX On Tour - The Gamecube version of the game included Mario, Luigi and Peach, as well as a special stage loaded with Mario sprites. Screens and info can be found here as evidence - www.gamespot.com/gamecube/sports/ssx4/news.html?sid=6132098&q=ssx%20on%20tourHave any other ones popped up lately? Post them here!

Yeah I noticed that one on TOS.
Any other cameos? hmm let me think... I don't know if has been posted before but what about Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes for Gamecube?
I believe that in the room that you fight Ninja (and where you find Hal Emmerich/ Otacon) that there is a Gamecube and Wavebird controller on the desk near a bunch of computers. Also, there are Mario and Yoshi figurines on another desk. If you shoot them Mario gives a 1UP and Yoshi makes his famous "Yoshi" sound.
I apologize if this has already come up somewhere

Yes, that one is already posted on the site.
The difference between third-party cameos and licensed cameos is that a licensed cameo is an officially sanctioned by Nintendo. The EA sports games featuring Mario are included... as is Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes (Miyamoto himself recommended Silicon Knights to the project when SK was still a second-party).
But there are still some in third-party games, even in games on non-Nintendo consoles. I find these interesting, but I don't cover them yet.

Oops sorry... I completely forgot that the title of this thread was "third party cameos" also, I should have checked the cameo pages already on NinDB I agree that there is a lot of cameos/easter eggs about in both first party and third party games and it would be hard to be interested in all cameos in every game. By the way...would you say SSB/SSBM was a cameo game?

Nah, you're alright. Though I do ask that you read the website. Five years of work (and hundreds of pounds) has gone into getting all that game info up

I believe in Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy Origins version, there's a Link cameo. If you go to Elfheim and check the tombstones, one says, "Here lies Link." Obviously this is refering to Legend of Zelda's hero.
If you want, I can double check later. In the original NES version it said, "Here lies Edirick", and I'm not sure about the GBA version.

The original Japanese version had "Link" as well, and in all the remakes it has been "Link". Only in the US version was it changed to Edrick. I really need to add that one sometime

Okay, I just thought of another one. I don't know if you want to include this one, but I'm O.K. has at least three Nintendo cameos. First, in the court room, the judge looks alot like Mario. Second, some of the enemies are wearing Triforce shirts. Finally, (and I haven't actually seen this one) the final boss is Mech-Mario. To find out more about I'm O.K., follow the link: imokgame.com/

While I'm O.K. is an incredibly awesome game, it doesn't count. It's an independent freeware game. Plus, I don't think FryGuy covers cameos in PC games. Or any non-Nintendo system for that matter.

I only count licensed cameos... as I've said already, which doesn't (yet) include cameos in any third-party game, regardless of system, unless Nintendo has licensed that cameo officially.
Allusions and fan cameos do not count... and there are loads of these on every system.
