So, a chap called George Morgan has been emailing me this week regarding Totaka's Song in Pikmin 2. His initial email told me where to find it, but I couldn't find it.
Then, unlike so many others, he emailed back and tried to clarify the conditions that makes the song appear. And tonight... for the first time... I heard Totaka's Song in Pikmin 2.
Go into any cave that HAS NOT already been completed, and collect all of the treasure - thus completing it. When you exit the cave via the geyser, a message will pop up on the Treasure Results screen saying "Cave Completed", and twinkling confetti will begin to fall.
On this screen, you wait. Wait for a bit longer than usual - probably about three or four minutes. And your wait is rewarded with Totaka's Song played on a xylophone-style instrument!
And so we have liftoff.
The chap who put together that Totaka's Song video has also told me he's confirmed it's at the end of VB Wario Land (which is something I'd heard before but not confirmed myself). So I guess I have two more to add to the page! That one was originally sent by Nick Barba.

Supossily some people over at friendcodes.com have heard the Luigi's mansion on. They just cant remember where. I'll try to prob them for info. I have heard someone says it was "near water".
EDIT:Someone said they heard it in Warioware: Touched. It is suppossively in a Special Minigame

Loads of people have said they've heard him whistling/humming it in Luigi's Mansion, but until someone can give me accurate directions on how to replicate it myself, I will not be adding it.
That's all I want. Accurate directions.

i remeber hearing on gamefaqs "<i>he hums it in a certain room i think it was the one with the big mirror not quite shure about anything else all i know is it was real annoying</i> i heard it on the animal crossing board under a topic known as totaka song which had a link to the video

You know Rhydon has an evolution in Diamond/Pearl now, right? You should use that as your avatar. I've recently been informed (twice) that Totaka is the music director on WiiSports. Get looking, my pretty flying monkeys! ;D |

Y'know, the more I think about it, the more I'm sure I remember hearing Luigi whistle a song I didn't recognise in one of the rooms where you're attacked by the red ghosts that cling to your back...
This was back when the game first came out, and I wouldn't have recognised Totaka's song if it'd approached me wearing a "Totaka's Song" t-shirt, said "Hi, I'm Totaka's Song!" and proceeded to repeatedly bludgeon me over the head with a rubber stamp which said "I was repeated bludgeoned over the head by Totaka's Song".
So... I'm intrigued now. This could be the excuse I needed to pull out my copy and try to earn that A-rank mansion. When I get home from work tonight, I'm-a gonna sit myself down and begin exploring every nook and cranny of that game like I did with Mario 64 all those years ago.

not to be rude or anything but i heard of dosidon before and i know from experince that serebii.net doesnt allow right clicking on the pokedex. and i love pokemon too my fav type is rock
on topic:all i know about luigis mansion & totakas song is luigi hums it
