Wii Sports is a continuation of the NES Sports series pretty much, so I doubt it. Probably same for Mii's too.
For those who missed seeing the article, it was the same thing as the Iwata interviews, saying Wii Sports Golf has the same holes as NES Golf.

Unless anyone can decisively say that NES golf's holes were based on a real course (like later NES golf games) then I would say that's a pretty good cameo.

I have now checked and confirmed it. This is a groovy little cameo if ever I've seen one. And so incredibly subtle. I will also be adding a bit of information about Kazumi Totaka's involvement - hopefully to drive people to look for THAT song in Wii Sports.

I've looked a little bit. Mostly in Menues. Its not On the title scrreen On the screen after a training Or on the Wii fitness Or the Tennis ending
I say look at Golf. It has almost no sounds. Wait there without doing a thing and see what happens.

I don't think it's on the "take a break" screen either. I had high hopes for that one.

You could try the screen that says "Unplug Knunchuk", but I doubt its there.
