In "Doodle" mode, if you select the "Undo All" command, a rocketship flies from the bottom of the screen to the top, dragging with it a straight-line wipe that erases all doodling from the photo. When it reaches the top of the screen, there's a squeaky horn sound effect. Almost identical to one of the full-screen erases from Mario Paint.
Also in Doodle mode, there's a hidden command to undo your last action by holding down on the D-pad while clicking on the eraser. This command uses the sound effect from Mario Paint's Undo Dog, who performed the same function.
There may be more. I found the undo command via a small cat who strolls onto the "fun" menu if you sit still there for just a moment. Every time you catch the little sucker, he tells you an unlabeled feature of Photo Channel.

I'm convinced! It really wouldn't surprise me if any future Nintendo paint packages borrowed heavily from Mario Paint. I wonder if that means Kazumi Totaka was doing the sound for the Photo Channel as well!
