I know someone who claims the song plays when you get a tie in boxing. I havent been able to test it, as getting a tie is EXTREMELY HARD! It could be it, ties are pretty rare (i'm had only one happen to me when boxing an AI). But then I would assume that you could easily set up ties using 2 players though (I don't own a second Nunchuck).

Interesting how all these supposed findings require you to complete difficult tasks rather than just wait for a while like nearly every confirmed finding so far. Kind of reminds me of those claims that you can unlock Sonic in SSBM by KO'ing 25 or so opponents in Cruel Melee. I've tried waiting on mostly every screen for around 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure this is an easter egg one like Mario Paint or Animal Crossing.I'm full of crap, pay no attention.

Ok here I am again. Getting a tie in boxing... does not seem to work. It's easy to do acually get one of the guest miis and block the entire match, the opposing mii will simply hit your gloves. Both players end with 3 poins.

Ok so I hit the "Hit it Here" sign and nothing happened, and it wasn't on the full.
Also, I noticed that some of the crowd was chanting something, but it wasn't clearly audible over other crowd members "wooing" and whistling". I doubt it is Totaka's song, but might be worth a little investigation.

I sort of figured that as people became more aware that the song itself would get harder to find.

I haven't really looked (I just don't have enough patience to find it xP) But I have a theory as to how you might be able to find it. Many resources mention that totaka hides his song in tracks or parts of tracks that are rarely heard such as the later part of the game over track in Super Mario Land 2. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't hear whatever jingle plays when you get a grand slam in b-ball or a turkey in bowling every day. I think these could be possible locations of the song. It could also be similar to Yoshi touch-and-go where you have to pause it at a certain point in order to hear it. One last theory is that it could simply be something similar to Mario Paint where you click on something, possibly one of the letters or images in the banners that read "Homerun" ot "Strike" perhaps?
Note: These are only theories, not necessarily the true locations.

Had another email about Totoka's Song in Wii Sports.
I haven't put Wii Sports into my Wii for years. Any thoughts? Can anyone replicate this?

I'm always suspicious of any information that is followed immediately by "I swear it's true!" Mostly because usually it's preceded by something about making your penis eight feet long if you send them your credit card.
But if anybody can do it, I guess it's worth a look!

I'm always suspicious too, but then I was suspicious of the Pikmin 2 and Luigi's Mansion submissions as well, and they turned out to be true. Totaka's Song hides in unlikely holes!
But then, as you said, this is also replicable... so worth a look.

That e-mail really sparked my interest in totaka's song again, so I decided to pop Wii Sports into my dusty ol' Wii after a year or so. After two days and a dozen mii changes I managed to get a fitness score of 23. I waited for 10 minutes at the score screen, and nothing! he was full of hogwash The mystery lives on i guess..

Aww, thanks for trying it out anyway! Your efforts are much appreciated.
I'd have thought somebody could have dumped the soundtrack several times over by now. Anybody know anyone who can do that kind of thing?
That's probably the best way to find it in any of the missing games, to be honest.

Unless he isn't hiding it in the soundtrack at all. Who knows? It's an Easter Egg. If he's still hiding it, he could start getting clever.
And I'd hardly say "Finding it" with a soundtrack dump. More like "Figuring out with vaguely more precision where to look," which isn't the same because that doesn't tell you how to get it to actually play. Plus, that takes the fun out of it!

Anyone tried getting a hole in one in golf? (5th course is supposedly the easiest to do it on) or getting 300 pins in bowling?

SERIOUS BUMP! Gametrailers Pop Fiction series did an episode on Totaka's Song in Wii Sports (even mentioning NinDB TS section on it), two guys claim to have found it in tennis, when a rally gets going, the sound each racket makes supposedly matches up with each note of Totaka's song. Of course this requires video edits to link up each tennis swing (which GT does). After hearing it though, it still doesn't sound right though. Here's the video. www.gametrailers.com/video/epsiode-21-pop-fiction/727049?

I can kinda hear it, but I'm not sure if I really hear it, or if it's just my imagination. We are talking about the pitch of a sound effect, after all. If true, tho, then dumping the soundtrack certainly would not have revealed it.
