In Pokemon DP, one Shinnoh Elite Four Member name Kikuno has a stronger resemblance to Kanto Elite Four Agatha.
In Pokemon FR and LG, when you face against the Rocket Administrators in Rocket Warehouse at Five Island, Sevii were based on the Rocket Executives from Pokemon GSC. Except in GSC you fight them in Mahogany Town and Goldenrod City, Johto.

They're not really cameos if it's within the same series. Nice, though.

Can you provide something a little more concrete, Yamato? At the moment these sound like wild imagination rather than any actual intent of the designers to create an in-game reference.

OK then, the Pokemon that Executives are the same but the female has a Muk rather than a Murkrow , she also has the very same Vileplume and Arbok as for the Male, he has the same as well. He had Weezing, Golbat and Houndoom.
The male also said that he will find Giovanni/ Sakkaki and revive Rocket Society and when you go to any one of the PC in th Warehouse it says "The influence of magnetic waves on Pokemon evolution" and it links what happen 3 years later in Johto by using magnetic waves to drive Red Gyarados insane.
I hope the evidence is good enough though.

Someone there also mentions Giovanni's kid, a boy with long red hair. Which seems to suggest that the GSC rival is Giovanni's son.
It's awesome stuff, but I don't think it counts as cameos.

Yes, that's Silver I presumed because in the manga Giovanni/Sakkaki was actually searching for him after his final failure against Red. For more go to Bulbapedia and Serebii

I'd heard about the Giovanni's son thing before, but that's interesting in-game connections. Nothing more.
But even if all this is intentional references, they are not cameos.
