I have always been a big fan of Mario Paint and was disappointed that I was never able to play the Mario Artist games. However, with games like Electroplankton and Stage Debut (hopefully) coming out, I think we may start to see even more experimental games that let the users create art and music in interesting ways. Does anyone know of similar games that already exist or of ones that are on the horizon?

There's that Band Brothers game for the DS which allows you too make music too, but other than that I don't know any other 'creative games'.

Not off hand, but I would be surprised if Nintendo didn't jump on the sudden popularity of Pictochat art and animation by providing software specialising in it.
Imagine being able to send your artwork wirelessly. Maybe they'd even let you make a little tune. Mario Paint 2?

BanBro... will it ever go to the US or Europe?
Maybe you can actually play with the artworks. Well... making a Flash-like tool for interactive animation would be great for Macromedia Flash fans like me.
Art-type games are always great. When will we be able to swat flies on the DS or the Rev?

Mario Paint is awesome! I feel so nostalgic when I play it, I want my SNES to work again.
I think that it'd do well on the DS, a stylus is so much better to draw with than a mouse, It took me like an hour to find a hard surface to put the mouse/mousepad on, since I play games while laying/sitting on my bed. And the music in Mario Paint... it's all classics.

I'm proud that my Super Famicom worked for me for 13 years without major problems!
And that Mario Paint... I really want a remake!
Maybe it's time for Nintendo to release "Super Famicom Mini" with super scope / mouse support! WarioWare Touched has already proved that it is possible to do it!

A piece just broke off.

I'd be extremely surprised if we didn't see a new Mario artist game for the DS. And while there at it, we need a DS Camera, too.

Actually they can work it this way: External hardware (like sensors) in the GBA slot 2, and the game itself in slot 1. In this way they can expand the way of playing just like GBC and GBA can.
