Donkey Kong Country Cameos

In Crankey's Cabin, he has Sabre Wulf's (Sabre Wulf) and Mumbo Jumbo's (Banjo Kazooie) head.
Sabre Wulf is circled in red, Mumbo in green.



This is from the GBA version, not sure if this is also in the SNES version.

EDIT: Also, could what he's saying be a Pong cameo?

No, it's a reference to early arcade games in general, including the original Donkey Kong.

I had been informed of these, and I think I even have screenshots somewhere. I just haven't updated the site in so long that it's getting a little out of date ;D

Apparently the pic behind the text there is the cast from Grabbed by the Ghoulies - if I remember the Rare letters page correctly.

Odd to have so many Rare references in the GBA title...considering that Ghoulies never appeared on a Nintendo system and Rare isn't owned by Nintendo any more. To be true, Banjo and Saber Wulf did have GBA titles released, but I sitll consider it a bit odd. *shrugs*
