I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, or if it's even really a cameo. It could just be, y'know, a farfetched ( ) reference. The Sacred Treasures in Kid Icarus were the Light Arrows, Pegasus Wings, and Mirror Shield. All three of these went on to become prominent items in the Zelda games. Coincidence? Soon after Kid Icarus, Link to the Past added the Pegasus Boots and Mirror Shield. And in Ocarina came the Light Arrows, which quickly replaced the Silver Arrows as the series mainstay. In Metroid: Zero Mission, the three "secret upgrades" you get from the Chozo are the Gravity Suit, Space Jump, and Plasma Beam. In theory, these are all akin to the Kid Icarus treasures. A suit of armor that gives you super defense, a means of flight, and a shooting weapon that blasts right through enemies. Another coincidence? ...if you're wondering, I got these ideas off Wikipedia. ALWAYS a great source for everything ;p

KI and Metroid's items may be equivalents, but that doesn't automatically mean an intentional reference. The same team worked on both games at the same time, so it's not that surprising that they share certain ideas - if nothing else, just to save some time!
The Zelda ones are less convincing, simply because they don't all appear in the same game, and because the Pegasus Wings and the Pegasus Boots have absolutely nothing in common beside that one word... The boots only let you run, after all.
