What, a spotted egg? There are only so many ways to colour an egg with the Game Boy's limited palette, so I very much doubt this is an intentional reference. Especially considering the fact that this game wasn't developed or published by Nintendo.

Actually, wasn't there a Mario-design Tamagotchi in one of the older games? The N64 one, I believe. Dammit if I can't find a pic of it now though  But a spotted egg isn't a Yoshi cameo. Sorry. |

Actually it's a Super game boy game so the colors were intentionally programed.

I'm not saying it wasn't green, I'm saying it's just a green, spotted egg. Not a cameo.
Like saying the grass in Zelda is a cameo of the grass in Mario. It's not a cameo, it's a point of similarity (only mine was significantly more mundane).

Actually, spotted eggs are ... "stock items" (as in stock characters), or very common designs. It's not specific to Yoshi, anyway.
