Right... I'm going to close down the E3 2005 Forum this weekend. I'll see if I can move all the topics to the Contemporary Nintendo forum. I might also change the colour scheme here to match that of the site. Its a bit drab, y'know?
However, perhaps we should think about another forum as well. I like the idea of a Fanart/fanfic forum or something, but would people be able to host their own images or would I be flooded with pics?
Make any alternate suggestions for the fourth forum, and this weekend I'll see what's come about.

I think it would be great to have a fan forum, maybe there should be a community forum that allows clubs and games.

A Fanart/Fanfic Forum would be cool, but I would never use it. I can't draw or write.

Okay...but first, what happened to the board merger? Ideas:
Franchises (dedicated to posts on Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, etc.) 3rd Party Games SSB 3 (very popular) Game Ideas
Or You Can: Replace the other forums (beside the main one) with a "Rev/GCN/DS/GBA" forum, a "GBC/N64", and a "SNES/NES/VB/GB" forum. (maybe not)

I'd say combine the two Nintendo forums. Classic doesn't get a lot of post anyway. Then add Fanart/Fanfic and one or two more(The ones Molecule said would be good. Especially SSB. And you could also add game ideas to the fanfic/fanart forum. I might post a little in it if you did.)Then if any of the boards doesn't get any posts you can remove them.
So in short, I think it should be:
NinDB General Nintendo Super Smash Bros. Fanart/Fanfics/Game Ideas 3rd-Party Games(Maybe)

I agree with a lot of what TrusTheFungus said.
Fryguy, a fan art board would be a great idea - I don't usually like them, but I think they encourage greater forum participation, so it's a good idea I guess.
I would, however, stear clear of game or franchise specific boards. They're too limited in scope. Perhaps a Smash Bros. board would be OK, seeing as it's a big topic here, and the basis for this site.
And, it would be good to merge the classic board so we just have one Nintendo board.
But, like I always say, it's your site Fryguy, so do whatever you think is best for your site. ;D

I'd be happy with just removing the E3 and leaving it as 3 forums, but a fan forum is a pretty good idea.

I like having the split between classic and contemporary Nintendo. I'd say add the fan forum or the SSB3 forum.

I'm not merging Classic and Contemporary. The break is there for a reason, and I'd rather have a place people can talk about old games, even if it's not that busy... rather than sifting through unlimited SSB3 or WarioWare topics.
Fan forum seems to have gone down well. Interesting. I don't like those messageboard games, though. I think they're stupid, and an excuse to produce far too many posts so people can say "Oooh, noob, look how many posts me got!!" etc.

I like the idea of a Fanart/fanfic forum or something, but would people be able to host their own images or would I be flooded with pics? If they don't have any webspace themselves they can always use something like ImageShack. Anyway, a fanart/fanfic forum sounds like a good idea! I'd definately use it, since I often draw Nintendo characters at school (instead of paying attention to the lessons).

Here here. Doodling is how I got through my education... and work. You should see the nuttiness that spews from my head while waiting for the printer to print

I used to doodle Mario characters and enemies while I was in elementary school, probably beginning with first grade. About seventeen years ago. I guess I've been a Nintendo fan for quite a long time.

I doodle Mario characters all the time. If I had a scanner, I could show some of them. But I can draw them on Paint, too.

Invest in a cheap flatbed scanner. They can be picked up quite cheaply, and they're great. Photoshop too, except not quite so cheap
