I've found a couple missed cameos for Zelda Wind Waker. Not sure if they were discussed previously but... After you get the Octorok in Forest Haven's Nintendo figurine Gallery, you can read information about the creature. The Octorok is the "Winner of the Perfect Attendance Award," due to them being in every Zelda game. These next images depict the sages from Ocarina of Time shown in stain glass images in the room where you get the Master Sword. Here is Ruto Saria Darunia Impa Nabooru and Rauru The images are from Detstar.com

This seems like yet another case of continuity rather than cameos.

Yeah, they're awesome continuity... but not cameos.

Y'know, we should have a thread or something about contenuity or reference to earlier series installments, because these tend to be quite interesting. Nice find, BTW

Well, there's no issue with people posting interesting finds and continuities in this forum. They just won't always be added to the site as cameos.
That doesn't mean some day I won't find some way of adding them.
I mean, the stained glass windows are a reference to Ocarina of Time specifically, as none of the characters appear in Wind Waker. It's interesting - it COULD be considered a cameo of characters from earlier games in the series.
Similarly, the perfect attendance thing is "breaking down the fourth wall", as they say - self-referential. Just like how the figurine maker's figurine, the description seems to describe Nintendo's position in the marketplace at the time.
These both seem legitimate enough to me. Remember... the key is that is has to be an intentional reference to an earlier game to count as an in-series cameo. Being interesting is also a bonus ;D

Similarly, the perfect attendance thing is "breaking down the third wall", as they say - self-referential. I think you mean the fourth wall, Fry.

Hahaha! Oh, Fry, what would we do without you? I remember seeing a reference to Pikmin 1 in Pikmin 2, though I don't remember where. All I know is that it was very subtle.

Just like how the figurine maker's figurine, the description seems to describe Nintendo's position in the marketplace at the time. That they do their work in their underwear?

You know that guy who is always hanging around in the figurine gallery? Look at his bag closely and you will see that it sports a 8-bit Octorok sprite from the first Zelda game.

Well, if these do count as cameos, then you could also throw in some extra Ocarina of Time stuff, such as how the names are similar.
OOT-------------------------------------------------------Wind Waker
Ruto who is a Zora------------------------------------Laruto (Earth Sage who is a Zora) Mido who is a Kokiri-----------------------------------Fado (Wind sage who is a Kokiri) Volvagia who is a dragon----------------------------Valoo who is a dragon Jabu-Jabu who is a giant fish----------------------Jabun who is a giant fish Kokiri who are forest people------------------------Koroks who are forest people live with the Deku tree that live with the Deku tree
Also, you could say that the Deku Tree in Wind Waker is the same one that was a sprout in OOT.

I think now we're into the realm of continuity. The naming is similar to intentionally tie the races together loosely across time. Although I'd never thought of the Valoo/Volvagia one before ;D
