I also heard "big boo and the piano" song is supposed to be something and the mystery train as well.

Some of the music in Luigi's Mansion (like whistling and other actual songs) sound similar to the Final Chapter world map theme in Yoshi's story but they were both composed by Kazumi. I wonder what other games Kazumi has worked on can be heard as referenced in Luigi's Mansion.

I'll be honest, when I first heard the Luigi's Mansion remix in Brawl, I thought it was a castle stage from Yoshi's Story  They do sound very similar, but that was more about the instruments used than the actual song. Totaka does have a certain style though. Some of the music in Yoshi Touch & Go sounded a lot like the music in Pikmin 2 and Animal Crossing, for example. |
