Which of the various pokemon series do you prefer?
I haven't included Pokemon trading card game due to that it isn't a 'true' pokemon game as it doesn't involve wild grass encounters.
As for my favourite it is Gold/Silver and Crystal series due to the real-time nature of the game.

I chose G/S/C. I just couldn't get into R/S/E since I couldn't transfer my old Pokemon into it.

Silver/Gold/Crystal has my vote. After these games the Pokemon formula seems to change.

Can't go wrong with G/S/C. It added so much to the Pokemon formula, and had the overall best Pokemon line-up.

I have so many fond memories associated with G/S/C, the Pokemon are much better than the Ruby/Sapphire ones, and I can't think of any other reasons. I just love it sho mush! :3

Has to be the original, really... followed by RSE... then GSC. The remakes are quite good, but catching a Tauros is nigh-on impossible without the Missingno cheat

Ah, yes, Missingno. I miss the good old days of Pokemon, G/S, Mew, Missingno, the sets up to Neo Destiny, then we got into Legendary Collection, then the e-Cards (the latter two I never liked). Then nothing came out of 2002...no new games were released, and Pokemon 4Ever failed to show up in the local theater. In December 2001, my local WB was bought up by Univision, and I don't get Cartoon Network on my TV network. Then Pokemasters closed (so I didn't get any more ep guides) and then in 2003, when "Pokemon Advance" was finally released, I realized I couldn't travel to Kanto or Johto nor transfer my Pokemon. From then on....I never quite got into Pokemon again. *sniff* G/S/C. That's my final answer.

The originals for that little thing I like to call "originality", plus having a real nice mixture of Pokemon. Then RSE, with GSC last. Although the fact I haven't played GSC (edit:) for a while could be clouding my judgement a little.
And FR/LG are good, too, but they should have perhaps borrowed a bit more from the newer games - I know they were a remake, but they could have changed a few things, inserted the contests, etc, etc. By FR/LG does have the strongest Elite 4, which is good.

I voted for FireRed & LeafGreen, since they deserve at least one vote. ...Plus I thought they were great.
