Well, this is certainly interesting.
About two days ago, Rockstar Games announced that their previously Xbox 360-only title Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis will be headed to Wii as well. Not all that surprising considering the fact that the Wii's controller lends itself perfectly to a game like this, but pretty sweet nonetheless. The original 360 version runs on a fairly advanced engine (the same engine they're now using for GTA IV) which means that they'll probably have to tone things down a bit graphics-wise, but I'm interested in seeing how things turn out.
Only a day later, they came with another announcement: Bully is coming to Wii and Xbox 360. Bully is "a story of one Jimmy Hopkins, whose academic success hasn't been anything spectacular as he's been expelled from various schools. His parents have a grand idea of sending him to Bullworth Academy which -- despite its grand name -- houses lots of other kids like Jimmy. This is the place where future dictators, murderers and mad scientists reside. With a help of a few friends, some wits and hard-as-a-rock fists, Jimmy has to survive through one year in Bullworth Academy." [description from MobyGames]
I never got to play the game as I don't have a PS2, so I'm glad it's coming to these two consoles as well. It seems pretty unique and the original recieved good reviews, so this seems like a great addition to the Wii's library of games.
(Keep in mind that the following is just rumours) And how can we forget the ill-fated Manhunt 2? Last thing we heard is that the developers are making the game less violent to get rid of the ESRB's AO rating. However, rumour has it that Nintendo is planning on publishing the game themselves, despite the AO rating:
Personally, I'm not buying it. It seems very unlikely to me, but who knows? The guy has been right before, if you check out the rest of his blog. It would certainly be a very surprising move from Nintendo.

Okay, you asked for it I have been following a story that I still find too vague to post properly. But here is the beef:
I have contact to someone who claims to work for NOA in Redmond. That person has told me in confidence that a memo was circulated about two weeks ago about Nintendo publishing ´Manhunt 2´ despite the AO rating.
I have been seeking to verify this with my sources at Take 2 and Rockstar. Also, I have asked for the memo to be forwarded to me. I am still busy on those two fronts, so please bear with me until I get more detail and can actually write a proper post.
Let me just close by saying that I do regard the source as reasonably reliable, while I simply cannot believe that Nintendo would ever consider such a move.
