You have a certain knack in finding fake games Tveye. For Wizzn' sake it's plugged into the Headphone Jack. And no link to the interview is given. Also, wouldn't this be 3rd party?

You have a certain knack in finding fake games That I do...that I do... Also, yeah, I just realized it was third party. You know what to do Fryguy. EDIT: Also, the whole news story isn't fake, just the picture.

Isn't it fairly obvious that the image is a fake/mockup? It's just a shrunk down (and badly cut out) image of a guitar controller from the game's console counterparts, pasted on top of a stock photo of a DS Lite along with a hastily drawn cable. Anyway, according to this interview, Guitar Hero DS is indeed being worked on. Although I'm not sure if that means it's actually confirmed or that they're just experimenting with it. Oh, and here's another mockup... this one's pretty clever. It could work with some fine tuning, I guess. EDIT: So, regardless of whether there's a (good) DS version coming or not, who's getting Guitar Hero III for a console? I most likely will, but probably for the Xbox 360 rather than the Wii. Mainly because I already have GHII for this system and I want another guitar controller. I'd love to play some songs with or against a friend of mine who also plays the game on his PS2... but I can't for the life of me find a store where I can buy a controller without the game. I'd hate to shell out an extra 30 or so bucks for another copy of a game I already have.

BUMP! Well Guitar Hero for the DS has finally been revealed! TrailerIt will go by the name of Guitar Hero: On Tour and come with the "Guitar Grip" and a pick stylus to strum the strings on the touch screen. The GG only has four fret buttons instead of the console versions five. Here's some info about some of the unique features of the battle mode from the IGN preview. "Along with the single player campaign, Guitar Hero: On Tour will also support multiplayer. The game will feature both co-op as well as competitive two player options using the local wireless functions of the Nintendo DS system. The game's battle mode will feature similar gameplay as the mode created in Guitar Hero III, with power-ups created specifically for Guitar Hero: On Tour. For example, players can activate power-ups that'll send raving fans to the other screen, and the opponent will have to sign autographs on the touchscreen to get rid of them. Or out-of-control pyrotechnics will be set ablaze, and players will have to blow them out using the Nintendo DS microphone."

It's seeming to work out better than I thought it would.

the wizzle am I supposed to hold that thing?
I mean, I assume you have to stroke the touch screen (hur hur todd me up) to strum, so you would be doing that and supporting the bulk of the unit with your left hand (hur hur), and then with your right hit the buttons - but how the hell are you gonna do that? If the screens were the other way it would make sense (left hand button pushing, right hand strum) but then the colours of the buttons are going in the opposite direction of every guitar hero controller ever.
EDIT: Oh, theres a trailer. Oh, I get it. Looks alright actually.
