I think all the music fits perfectly, really. It's loud, fast and upbeat. Just like Sonic himself. Stuff like SA's Speed Highway and Sky Deck, SA2's Metal Harbor and Final Rush, and Sonic 2006's Wave Ocean (the Mach Speed area) really get me pumped, and I find I don't do very well at the game if I have the sound off.
That, and I've been a fan of Crush 40's music since way back when they were Sons of Angels. Jun Senoue's really good at writing catchy songs (he did music for Sonic & Knuckles and the entire Sonic 3D soundtrack, too), and I've always loved his guitar riffs.

I'm probably not very qualified to post my opinion since I've only played Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Mega Collection, but I'll post my opinion anyway.
I think a big problem is when Sonic Team starts getting away from platforming. When I played Sonic Adventure, the only two people I really liked playing as was Sonic and Tails. Amy, Knuckles, and the robots levels were just okay. I absolutely dreaded the levels with Bigs the Cat. Sonic Adventure 2 had the same problem. Sonic/Shadow's levels were good, Tails/Eggman's levels were alright, and Knuckles/Rouge's levels were what I dreaded. When I'm playing Sonic, I want to go fast, collect rings, and fight bosses. I don't want to go fishing or play Hot and Cold.
That's the only real complaint I have. People talk about the game's horrible camera, but it never seems to bother me. I've never died or got hit because of the camera; it's always been my fault.

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 had good cameras. The problem was trying to go backwards. The camera would always look ahead as you should be going in one dirrection anyway. It also seemsed to work on the treasure hunting stages (go figure). It's just like complaining abotu Secret Ring's camera don't zoomuing out when you back up. Matt(IGN) had the gonades to say "But it doesn't zoom out like other racing game" yet I turned on Mario Kart DS and proved him wrong.
Sonic '06 had an awful cameras. Things would kill you that you couldn;t see. Not to mention that the controls were slioppy, and the game was a good example of hoaring out the characters. I think the games should just focus on Sonic, Tail, Knuckles, Amy (as annoying as she is) and Eggman. Maybe throw another character in there every so often, but not like they do now.
In a way, Sonic Heros did it right. It's gameplay actually worked, it was just annoying playing the exact smae stage 4 times.

But Sonic '06 focused only on Sonic, Shadow and Silver. Sonic Heroes focused on Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Amy, Big, Cream, Vector, Espio and Charmy.

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 had good cameras. Not everyone notices the poor angles, After a while they got on my nerves. Resident evil style security camera modes just don't float my boat.

They never had a poor angle. The camera was always behind Sonic, unless he was doing a sertain point where it was suppose to be chanced. The only probobly I ever encountered was going backwards.

Some of the levels had way to many of these (in SA2 at least) something about the angles just didn't feel right. Most of these levels were Tails and Eggman in SA2 I think.

I never had a problem with the cameras... they always point you in the direction you should be heading, which, in a game where you're supposed to race to the end as quickly as possible, is perfect.
