Mario 64 is probably the best, but Yoshi's still my favorite.

1) Yoshi's Island, its absolutely-definately-positively-awesomely-outrageously-good. And theres more.
2) Super Mario World - my favourite of the Mario 2D Platformers that actually has Mario in it as a playable character for more than two seconds and not as a baby.
3) Super Mario 64 - the feelings you got inside when you first played this game... wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.
4) Super Mario Bros. 3 - another fantastic Mario platformer, with some great level design and my favourite Mario powerups ever. Why Tanooki never returned I'll never now. Same goes for the Frog, Hammer Bro. and Shoe abilities.
5) Super Mario Bros - the original is still great, which really says something about its high quality.
Just a quick question - why are Wario platofrmers counted, but not the other Yoshi ones? Not that I would have voted for them, it just seems weird, thats all.

My vote is: (none) (1) Yoshi's Touch & Go - not in list (2) Yoshi's Island (3) Super Mario 64 (4) Super Mario 3 (5) Super Mario World (6) Luigi's Mansion - though not a platformer, it's an action game. And I don't think it's just a spinoff. (7) Super Mario 2 JPN And don't forget - My favourite of favourite - Super Smash Bros Melee!  In the adventure mode, you play a Mario platformer-style stage. |

I like Super Mario 64 the best because it has very good graphics and lots of good challenges
