Its coming! Professor Layton is coming in February! What do you mean, you've never heard of it?! Well, get excited, its a really cool looking series for the DS that has the potential to be the next Phoenix Wright!

Its a kooky detective series, Layton is sorta like Sherlock Holmes, and the basic gameplay (as I understand it, could be wrong) is solving logic puzzles to find clues to eventually solve the mystery. The visuals are beautiful, putting you in mind of a Spirited Away style anime:

And the best thing is, the english language version is coming to America on February 11th! Thats quite soon!

I have heard about this game. It is one of the most (if not the most) popular Nintendo DS titles in Japan, which is one reason why it's being localized. The art style kind of reminds me of the artworks of "The Adventures of Tin Tin" and the box art of "Marvelous: Another Treasure Island".

The DS needs more old-style graphic adventures. They make perfect use of the DS's capabilities. I wish that LucasArts and Sierra would put out some of their old games for the DS.
