I know this announced a week or two ago but Rock Band has finally been confirmed for the Wii. The game is being released June 22nd.

The good news.

The game will come with 63 songs and 5 "exclusive" tracks.
There is a competitive drum vs drum mode.

The (really) bad news

No character creation mode.
No online multiplayer.
No downloadable content so we can't get wonderful songs like this.

Now while you shout at Nintendo for their "online infrastructure" to be the blame for this situation, you might want to read this Huson WiiWare announcement that just makes Harmonix/MTV Games/EA look really cheap.

Well, at least someone was smart enough to make petition for it.

So, I ask what do the rest of you think about this situation with RB?

Is this made by the same guys as Guitar hero? Hmm I guess its not Red Octane. The drums look like a nice addition but I bet this game costs a lot of rupees? I would need to get a big wallet to buy this

I heard this game actually teaches you basic drums, so thats kinda cool! As for the lack of online, thats a shame.

The 5 "exclusive" RB Wii tracks have been revealed . . . and there not really "exclusive" at all. Some of them were DLC from the PS3/360 versions.

- “Dirty Little Secret” - The All-American Rejects
- “Don’t Look Back in Anger” - Oasis
- “Roam” - The B-52’s
- “Rockaway Beach” - The Ramones
- “Roxanne” - The Police

It's aslo been confirmed by someone working on the game that the reason for no DLC on Wii is because of the lack of a hard drive.
