Behold the Kid Icarus stage! You can go ahead and call it Pit’s home turf if you like. From a distance you can see the temple and its surroundings. The floor’s crumbling construction makes it easy to shatter...It feels great to break it!Not having a floor does increase the danger factor, though. Why? Because it’s a long way down, that’s why!Look out below!Mastering this element is one key to gaining the upper hand. The floor quickly regenerates, so it’s important to keep your eyes on it.====================================================== I apologize for lying. Read my last post in the Yoshi thread why I decided to create this thread instead of going to bed earlier than before.

What I don't understand is whether it crumbles by itself when walking on it, or the characters / some items need to hit the platforms.
I want to battle there already!

What the-... two stage updates in a week? Moreover, separated by a single update? MAN.
Nifty though, I like this stage. The design, structure-wise, is less "typical" than I thought originally. My fears about blander stages in this game are beginning to be put to rest.

This stage is still pretty bland. I'm more upset, though, that we didn't get A. the music or B. a more detailed description. Sakurai almost makes it feel like adding Kid Icarus stuff was a chore with this update >:/
16 LOOOONG YEARS, ya ponce. Don't depreciate fans' long-awaited return of Pit by acting blase about the stage :/

The stage has a nice layout to it with the platforms arranged the way they are. The cloud effects under the platforms look neat too.
Playing as Giga Bowser on this stage would be pretty interesting to see if he can easily smash through the Skyworld stage's platforms.

I actually like this stage. Crumbling floors works for me. Imagine how great it'd feel to hit an enemy and have them go right through the floor.
I'm repeating myself here, but I love the visuals. The Greek temple and statue of Palutena in the background is nice.

Oooh. I wonder, can you stand on the clouds after the platforms crumble? Is it possible to smash your enemies through the cloud-floor following the platforms' destruction? The possibilities!

I'm wondering what Pikachu is doing on the last screenshot to Wario's face. Is that one of his attacks or something? Or is it just him falling...eh, who knows.

You'd thinbk they'd do that already. Oh, and it's about time this one got added. Only the Haliberd and the Castle are left(I want to see the latter).

I liek this stage, personally. I think destructible platforms are a fresh idea, the stage layout isn't common (it does remind me a bit of Samus' Brinstar stage from Melee, though), and I dig the background. I didn't get any vibe of "god, now I have to do Kid Icarus" from the post myself....

Pikachu isn't in any of the screenshots! I've been looking forward to this update for a while. Gotta love Kid Icarus ;D Although a little disappointed about the name.

I'm sure the name is just based on the upper areas of the Kid Icarus game, which--if I recall--didn't actually have a proper name.
Like Melee did, I'm sure Brawl will have a full title for each course; Peach's Castle and Mute City, for example, were called "Mushroom Kingdom: Peach's Castle" and "F-Zero Grand Prix: Mute City." I don't see why Skyworld's full title wouldn't be "Angel Land: Skyworld." We're probably going to get a level based on the Underworld if Pit gets more than one stage, so it would all tie together pretty nicely if that was the case.

Damn am I stupid. that's Wario's helmet. Guess I gotta wake up a little more before I look at these screen shots.

Perhaps the stage takes place in Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, the Game Boy version.

I just hope they have enough sense to refine the names this time. I mean Yoshi's Island: Yoshi's Island was a bit rediculous. They really should've called it Dinosaur Land: Donut Plains or something like that. Better yet, not all of Melee's stages had a full title, which resulted in Hyrule Temple being only referred to as "Temple" or Mushroom Kingdom I and II (the latter which I think should've been called Mushroom World: Sub-Con) being referred to as "Kingdom/II".
