The name of the stage is probobly Angle Land:Sky World. The third level of the game was "Sky World" so, no parrothead, it is from the first one.

It's the entrance of Angel Land I imagine. Probably near the green parts you see in the manual. It'd be Skyworld, Angel Land. Like right out of The Sky.
Love this stage. Makes up for the lousy JB update.

I do hope that you can't stand on the clouds. If you could, then you can proboly knock other characters though them. Which means Falco>everyone.

What's there to be disappointed about the name? If you stop and think about it, it makes sense.
In Kid Icarus there were four worlds: underworld, overworld, sky, and palace in the sky. So Skyworld is the name for the third world in the NES game. Oh, and I love that you can see the palace in the sky in the background.
And I think we can still stand on the clouds in Skyworld just like you can stand on the clouds in Kid Icarus. And you can easily fall through the clouds by simply pressing down. So yeah, the "KOing someone through the clouds" element is another homage to Kid Icarus.

Stages seem to fall under two distinctions this time: interactive and scene-changing.
And this one falls under interactive.

It's a sequel! And it was BETTER than the original! Lordy, why does nobody ever realize there was more than one KI game? |

It was a temple in Twilight Princess (a very crappy one at that). It's name wasn't Skyworld. More like "City in the Sky".
