Yeah I want to bongo Jam with K.K XD.
I hope you guys realize that you're making yourself look worse than them with all this childish mockery. Part of me thinks you say that out of your goodness and part of me thinks you do it for a specific reasonI kid though. there are a good number of perfectly intelligent people on that forum, but the mean is just geared towards the forums being filled with Crazys. XO That forum is crazy. Do they think Starfox is some how related to Donkey Kong(Starfox Command friendcodes) just becuase Rare did adventures?

No. The reason the majority of important members believe Star Fox to be part of Donkey Kong canon is because both Star Fox Adventures and Diddy Kong Racing have a triceratops character in them, and both are named Tricky.

That and it seems like only the claps actually stun people...it's entirely possible that there's far more strategic value to this than what we see. Maybe players take advantage of the "attack void" to rip into each other while DK is busy. It's not just the claps that stun people. Look at the second screen, you can apparently also be hit by DK's music notes. Not his purple aura, but the notes themselves. Also, uh, parrot.... "Ultra-Smash"?

I'm actually pondering - if DK can't move, then what are all those people doing near him? He's obviously about to attack... Do you think the music draws people towards DK? Or perhaps Tei is right, and the strength of the blow increases, damaging people further away from you as well. Otherwise... couldn't you just move out the way? I'd bet everyone was trying to grab the Smash Ball, but DK got it first. Tei - Nintendo Power did the same misspelling of Goroh last issue...*sigh*

Every other Final Smash posted so far has more characters on-screen, possibly to show the range and effectiveness of the attack or something.

This kinda brings to question whether Final Smashes are really FINAL Smashes Most so far have some sort of glaring weakness. So... will we see others like DK's where you can control the rhythm and flow of the attack? And what's to be said of Kirby's? How does his work? Time will tell, I guess :/

Hmm... Kirby's apparently only damages one character. If it was Mike instead of Cook, it would affect more than one character. Imagine if Kirby's Final Smash attack was one randomly selected from two or three available ^_^ (like Knuckle Joe's attacks).
And speaking of sound-based moves, I guess Jigglypuff would be another suitable character for that.

DKVine shouldn't be mad at this update at all! If I recall, this was an attack of Donkey Kongs in DK 64. You had to press C-up I believe. Yeah, that's the Bongo Blast attack parrothead mentioned. I wonder if Diddy Kong would use his. Yeah, Diddy could pull out his Electric Guitar ;D

Which only ffurther enhances the crazy. Got forbid two people exist with the same name. OMG, Guilty Gear and Pokemon both have a character named May and their both humans. They must be in the same universe. It makes me LAWL You know what makes this funnier? And LAWLS ensure.

Ahem, I'm a DKUer....... Anyway, I hate the bongos. DK deserves a better Final Smash. Yes, let's enforce the stereotype, rather than prove the naysayers wrong and providing a reason for believing what you do. No, the only required elaboration is that "DK deserves a better Final Smash." I've said it twice already but I suppose a third time is necessary: I respect the opinions of a DKVine member if they're capable of giving a reason that either has proof where needed (The Star Fox = DK canon is an example of one point of view I'll never get behind because there's no way to prove it) or if they can rationally elaborate on what they mean. Simply saying "DK deserves better" doesn't do you any favors. The reason a few of us keep saying DKVine members are insane is because they do the exact opposite of what I said in the paragraph above. Why use proof or explain yourself when you can dedicate yourself blindly in an almost religious sense, and then troll when someone dares say or do something that doesn't go alongside your opinion? Perhaps we're spoiled here at the NinDB, but I like to think that it makes us a better message board than most.

Better yet, just give them a Rare-based Smash game. Then they'll be happy forever.
But anyway, enough about them now, really. Nice Final Smash for DK (what this topic is apparently about). He'd probably get stuck doing it in his own level. Doesn't sound like "homefield advantage" to me.
Didn't Sakurai say that characters would have that once?

I can't remember him saying that. Yeah, that's the Bongo Blast attack parrothead mentioned. I wonder if Diddy Kong would use his. Yeah, Diddy could pull out his Electric Guitar ;D One could say that DK is not using his original bongos and that it's so unique that the Guitar Gazump attack isn't properly a Diddy Kong counterpart. Still, if you remember well, even Dixie had a guitar of her own in DKC2, so a guitar could be a homage to both instruments.

Also, uh, parrot.... "Ultra-Smash"? I waited for an hour on this update. I kept refreshing the web site in all available languages, until the German version finally showed the update. In Germany, "Final Smash" is known as "Ultra-Smash". I thought it was called "Final Smash" in all available languages. As soon as the update turned on, I immediately copied and pasted it for this forum, while I forgot it was German. I'll change this thread's name right now.

Ahem, I'm a DKUer....... Anyway, I hate the bongos. DK deserves a better Final Smash. What's with the bongo hate? We need more goofy wacky controllers and games to go with them. That's why I'm so happy about the Wii Zapper,Balance Board, Wheel. Heck a new bongo with the Wii's Color scheme and a way of controlling movement in normal games would be awesome. And on the issue of tiring your arms out, very few games leave you with the feeling like you've done something epic (I.E. Worn Out) So BONGO's FTW! [/rant] And if he deserves a better final smash any grand ideas Kame? I like the fact that his move is homage to both DK64 and Donkey Konga.
